What do you get when you combine top-tier art with vintage Western wear under one roof? The answer is @pioneerhouse, the second shop featured in our “Collecting the Classics” series. Owned and operated by artist Julie Belcher and veteran collector “Cowboy Phil” Rupp, @lonesomepinecone, Pioneer House offers unique artwork and Western clothing of yesteryear. From basic pearl snaps to glittering suits, this shop carries Western labels and designs including Nudie Cohn, H Bar C, Manuel Cuevas and Nathan Turk, among many others.
Check out these pieces and ask yourself, “Does my closet need some great vintage Western wear?” (Hint: Yes.)

• Designed in the 1940s by Nathan Turk, this detail shot of horses from Pioneer House is drawn with chainstitch thread embroidery and rhinestones.
• Letterpress monoprint by Julie Belcher, 18 inches by 24 inches on paper.
• A colorful 1950s suit by Fay Ward.
• A 1940s Nathan Turk horse and horseshoe suit embellished with chainstitch embroidery and rhinestones, accompanied by a hand-painted silk tie.
• Julie Belcher and Philip Rupp stand in front of the Pioneer House 1951 Plymouth “Thunder Roadmobile,” holding vintage clothing from the 1930s to 1960s.
