#jacquelinedejong ‘s “De l’humour Belge (Belgian humor),” 1965, which will be on view in @pippyhouldsworth ‘s booth at @frieze.london beginning on October 14, 2026 in #london . The work is part of Jacqueline’s the "Accidental" paintings series, which she made in of 1964 and 1965. These works feature collisions of bodies and vehicles, which accounts for the bicycle tangled among the grotesque figures in this painting. For the fifth edition of London Gallery Weekend, Pippy Houldsworth Gallery is pleased to present Jennifer Bartlett ‘In the House’ (6 June – 5 July 2025)

The pioneering American artist’s first significant exhibition in London since her solo show at Tate in 1982. This is the second in a trilogy of exhibitions exploring central motifs in Bartlett’s practice, following ‘On the Water’ @marianneboeskygallery and coming ahead of In the Woods @paulacoopergallery

Amongst the best-known painters of her generation, Bartlett realised a prodigious body of work that defied categorisation, subscribing variously to contemporary art movements including Minimalism, Conceptualism and Neo-Expressionism, although never at the expense of an artistic personality uniquely her own.

London Gallery Weekend is taking place on the weekend of 6–8 June 2025.

Michael Armitage show Paradise Edict @royalacademyarts is outstanding and I just can’t wait to get back there! It’s also worth visiting to see the group of East African figurative painters he has included within the show and will also be exhibited at the Nairobi Contemporary Art Institute, the non profit space founded by Armitage.
