Pit has been going for nearly TEN years!! We know! We’ve won awards, made some incredible issues and met loads of amazing people along the way. We love our magazine and believe print is more important than ever. BUT!

We co-hosted a print fair with @fatboyzine and @vittlesmagazine and to say it was successful would be an understatement. People LOVE PRINT! 🧡

We are in the process of making a new issue and we are running a promotion - subscribe before 14th July to get each issue for a mere £6.50. This is seriously good value. The price will rise on £14th July. We publish on average two issues per year and you’re only charged when an issue is released.

📣 CALL FOR PITCHES 📣

We are over the moon to announce our next issue theme: TV 📺

We are officially open to pitches from writers and photographers! 🎉

Let’s give food on the small screen its time in the spotlight. TV chefs, food on TV, food while watching TV, food because of TV, everything in between AND MORE. We like to be surprised, so think outside the box (or on the box…). We do not want the obvious. Be as creative as you like.

We DON’T want restaurant reviews (although is there a restaurant on TV that needs a review?!), chef profiles, listicles, product reviews, or poetry. Please, don’t pitch about food in films - so much has been written about this already.

Please email us hello@pitmagazine.uk - no DMs please. Our pitching guidelines, including rates, are on our website.

We need your pitches on all things TV by Friday, May 1. We can’t wait to hear your ideas!

THANK YOU to everyone who came to St Giles Cripplegate this past weekend for the inaugural Food in Print Magazine Fair. It was a huge success! 🎉

We hope that lots of you discovered new titles to enjoy and had lovely catch-ups with so many readers, publishers and friends.

@luckyyubakery sold out in under two hours, and the fair was buzzing from start to finish. The appetite for food in print is alive and well!

We’ll definitely be organising another fair, so if you didn’t make it this time, don’t worry, you’ll have another chance.

9 days to go till the FOOD IN PRINT MAGAZINE FAIR! 📖💕

We’re so happy to announce the final lineup of incredible publishers and titles that will be exhibiting at the first FiPMF! Since we announced the fair last month, we have been overwhelmed by the response from publishers. We’re excited to say that we will now be joined by over 50 independent publications from the world of food and drink, not just from the UK but also from Europe, Australia, the US and Mexico, many of whom will be at the fair in person. From first-time publishers to cult favourites, from tiny, homemade zines to academic journals, these publications cover the gamut of what is going on within independent food media today.. If you’re coming down, you’re sure to find a new favourite title to take home.

The fair takes place at St. Giles Cripplegate in the Barbican from 11am-4pm on April 11th. There is no need to book. Thank you to all the publishers taking part, to @luckyyubakery who will be selling delicious baked goods, to @kimdoesmarketing who will be documenting the event, and to everyone who applied (here’s hoping we can make this an annual thing 👀)

FOOD IN PRINT MAGAZINE FAIR NEWS - @luckyyubakery 🥐

With the fair fast approaching (April 11th!) we’re excited to announce that Cantonese/British bakery @luckyyubakery will be joining us.

@hailinleung will be bringing her extraordinary bakes to St Giles Cripplegate so you can grab a pastry or two to eat while you browse. Recently named as one of Britain’s best bakeries in the Good Food Guide Top 50, Hai Lin is in demand!

In case you’ve somehow missed it, the Food in Print Fair is hosted by @fatboyzine @vittlesmagazine and @pitmagazineuk and will bring together independent food publications from around London and the rest of the UK. Discover new magazines, find your favourites, nab sold-out issues and chat to the people doing exciting things for food in print.

FOOD IN PRINT MAGAZINE FAIR 📚

Some exciting news! The first-ever Food in Print Magazine Fair is coming to St Giles Cripplegate on April 11th! Hosted by @pitmagazineuk @vittlesmagazine and @fatboyzine the fair will bring together independent food publications from around London and the rest of the UK. Discover new magazines, find your favourites, nab sold-out issues and chat to the people doing exciting things for food in print.

We have released our first list of confirmed attendees, including Petit Propos Culinaire, @chickenandbreadzine @fillerzine @eatenmag @_thecheesemag @tenderbooks @toothsome_magazine @sandweegies @sausage.press @faremag @texture.mag @tomatoeggzine @table_magazine @guzzlemag @off___cuts @thetonicmag @cake_zine although the fair is open to any print publication covering food, no matter how small.

If you are a food publication and wish to sell your magazine at the fair, please complete the Google form linked in our bio, and we will get back to you. Spaces are limited.

To make the fair as accessible as possible, we have collectively taken on the cost of the fair ourselves, so it will be both free to attend and free to apply for a pitch.
