Join us at @unnameablebooks for an evening of poetry and fiction, yearning and delight, featuring authors working with @girlsandqueerstothefront: Sophie Ewh, Aleksandra Kamińska, Eileen Myles, Katie Naughton, Monika Zaleska.

GQTTF is a small press based in Poland, publishing bilingual collaborative zines, short fiction, and poetry in dialogue with visual artists. Since 2015, GQTTF has been shaping and archiving how DIY ethos and feminist-queer cooperation defined the last decade of print and activist practices in Poland, while building transnational alliances. The evening brings together New York- and Warsaw-based writers.

We’ll be celebrating the new issue of the GQTTF zine as well! It’ll be sexy, and it will be sad. Don’t miss this 💋

Last week, I traveled to Brooklyn to read for the @pitypartyreadings at @orionbarbk in celebration of Whole, Holy, Hot! ❤️‍🔥

What a treat to read with @marisa_crawford again after sharing a stage with her in Baltimore this spring—and to read with @chase.elodia and @yooeating. (Fun fact: @yooeating is the chef and owner of Orion—as well as a James Beard Award winner. She finished the orders, stepped out of the kitchen to read her gorgeous work, then went right back to cooking.)

Thank you to @sophie_eve00 and @peacockcookie for bringing us all together! I hope to be back in NYC for another reading soon!

Submissions are now open for the second Pity Party anthology! 🙌 Email us up to 5 poems or 3,000 words of prose (fiction and nonfiction) at pitypartysubmissions@gmail.com. Accepted submissions will be published in our print zine and on our website; NYC writers will be invited to read at one of our monthly outings. Our first anthology included writers such at Matthew Rohrer, Marisa Crawford, Gina Myers, and Edmund Berrigan.

Submit by September 30th! 🌋🥵

PS If you’re interested in working with us, we’re looking for volunteer Readings Coordinators, Prose Editors, and Art Editors. Probably a 2 hour weekly commitment, but a priceless, metaphorical Rolodex of community writers 🥰

THANK YOU TO OUR AUGUST READERS & @orionbarbk for welcoming us for the first time!!! It was incredible to hear @yooeating reading from her own book in her own bar/restaurant, while creating a space for other writers to share their work as well. A huge round of applause for

@chase.elodia
@yooeating
@marisa_crawford
@chrissympoet (go check out Whole, Holy, Hot, out with @writebloodypublishing 🙌)

Once again, for those of you who didn’t see the last post, we’re moving to @orionbarbk every second WEDNESDAY of the month while keeping a quarterly reading at Molasses!

May the city bless you in all the ways it’s blessed us 🫡

August’s Pity Party will be this WEDNESDAY @orionbarbk (157 Suydam) where we’ll celebrate “Whole, Holy, Hot” by @chrissympoet and out with @writebloodypublishing 🙌🥵🙏 she’ll be joined by

@chase.elodia (The Atlantic)
@yooeating (“Soju Party,” James Beard Award Winner)
@marisa_crawford (“Diary,” @spuytenduyvilpublishing )

We can’t wait for this reading to welcome in a new space, new vibes, and a new book 🥰 for anyone nosing into the caption, we’re still going to have a quarterly reading series at Molasses, but as our Pity Party family/vision expands, we wanted to keep our monthly reading series going to bring as many cool poets and writers to the community as possible. Keep an eye out for a few announcements regarding our website/submissions coming soon 👀
