Join us at @unnameablebooks for an evening of poetry and fiction, yearning and delight, featuring authors working with @girlsandqueerstothefront: Sophie Ewh, Aleksandra Kamińska, Eileen Myles, Katie Naughton, Monika Zaleska.

GQTTF is a small press based in Poland, publishing bilingual collaborative zines, short fiction, and poetry in dialogue with visual artists. Since 2015, GQTTF has been shaping and archiving how DIY ethos and feminist-queer cooperation defined the last decade of print and activist practices in Poland, while building transnational alliances. The evening brings together New York- and Warsaw-based writers.

We’ll be celebrating the new issue of the GQTTF zine as well! It’ll be sexy, and it will be sad. Don’t miss this 💋

Last week, I traveled to Brooklyn to read for the @pitypartyreadings at @orionbarbk in celebration of Whole, Holy, Hot! ❤️‍🔥

What a treat to read with @marisa_crawford again after sharing a stage with her in Baltimore this spring—and to read with @chase.elodia and @yooeating. (Fun fact: @yooeating is the chef and owner of Orion—as well as a James Beard Award winner. She finished the orders, stepped out of the kitchen to read her gorgeous work, then went right back to cooking.)

Thank you to @sophie_eve00 and @peacockcookie for bringing us all together! I hope to be back in NYC for another reading soon!

(Swipe to enjoy me gesturing wildly while telling a dramatic poem anecdote.)

MONDAY, 7PM, at @crowninnbk: We’re so excited to host @sophie_eve00! Swipe through to read her striking poem “The Death of a Fatty,” published at Hobart.

BIO: Sophie Ewh is a writer and filmmaker, known by some as White Trash Freud and by others as a graduate of New York University’s Creative Writing MFA. Her first dream was to make people laugh. But after developing an obsession with B-horror movies and mental breakdowns, she mostly just made them nauseous. She is the editor of 1.5 Million (2022), a documentary about bookstores in The Bronx, and Junior Editor for the Magnolia Network series Beach Cottage Chronicles. You can find her writing in Hobart Pulp, The Poetry Society of New York’s Spilt Milk, Mantis Journal, and Postscript Magazine. She is the host of Pity Party Reading Series at Molasses Books and teaches 7th grade math.
