while the dax is away, @pixelchick__ brings you a 2-hour guest mix all the way from Eora/Sydney in so-called Australia. perfect for your summer holiday, it elegantly weaves poolside effervescence with the sherbet beauty of a seaside sunset. 🌅 this mix is the perfect way to chill out during a heat wave!
pixelchick is a DJ and co-organizer of the Eora-based party @wooo__girls with a fabulously queer sensibility honed to a razor edge that really covers some ground. we properly met at the first iteration of pe:rsona and will fittingly be raving together at memòri when this mix airs. 🌊 by @pixelchick__

While the night air chills and the days become longer, we muse over our cosy night at @suitesevena for Slow Burn. Cookies and candles in array, we welcomed artists @sin____a_ , @fairie and @scariestgirlintheworld for their distinguished live sound. Eyes linger softly as they siren to your spirit, noise building, rubbing cheek to cheek…

Thank you everyone

As the nights extend through the cooler months of Sydney, our streets are quiet, but something drones beneath the cool breeze… voices rumble through a liminal shopping centre summoning vampire babes and goth angels, we invite you to ~ Slow Burn.

Welcoming artists @scariestgirlintheworld @fairie and @sin____a_ to Suite7a for an evening of live performances. Surrender yourself to the transportative journey of these artists as their haunting sounds guide you and gently hold your heart in their warm hands. Slow Burn explores the spaces in between, the soft glow of a lamp in the dark corners of a room, soil trodden gritty floor, ridden with ash and flower dew.

Date and Time: Saturday 30th May, doors from 7.30pm. Music from 8pm ~ firm start
Location: Suite7a Haymarket

Limited capacity, ticket link in bio 🥀🕯️

We acknowledge this event is taking place on unceded Gadigal land. We pay respects to elders past, present and emerging and acknowledge this always was, and always will be Aboriginal Land. Free tickets for Mob, please reach out <3

Introducing ~ @nausheen_gun_kelly and @pixelchick__

Nausheen and Jade co-run Woo Girls, a project that has grown into more than just a party, aiming to awaken the boisterous potential of the dance floor. They welcome those who aren’t afraid to take up space, with the intention of fostering community and deep dance floor connection.

Woo Girls melds moody selections, stepping into a flirty hallucination of carefully selected sounds - curating an entrancing atmosphere layered with dream pop, lush vocals and bass. Their surging rhythms reach melodic heights and grimy lows, leaving you hot and wanting more.

Live recording of my guest mix with Purity on @eastside897fm from Saturday night is up on my soundcloud ⋆˚꩜｡⋆

A collection of music I was listening to whilst travelling over the last 4 months. This one goes out to all the cuties I met who made me want to stay away forever, and to the besties back home who made me playlists for when I was homesick.

While I was away, I started a project of asking friends and strangers the question- ‘if you were a bug, what bug would you be?’ and getting them to draw it in my little notebook. It was a cute and silly way to connect with people in new environments whilst travelling, and also a way to bring others together (I would introduce people who identified as the same bug and have a bug meet up lol). These are some of the bugs I collected over those 4 months. I cherish these drawings... this collage is a tribute to those connections and memories made during my time away. The songs in this mix are a tender reflection of this feeling <3

Had a rly cute time recording this with @hotlineblingoe :) thanks for having me on!
