Chasing the sunrise and love in the heart of Sedona!This intimate elopement was everything—quiet moments, breathtaking off-roading adventures, incredible views, and a promise made under the beauty of the red rocks. Grateful to witness such pure magic!

Lately, I’ve been feeling a shift—a pull toward a more natural-toned, film-inspired editing style. It’s a transition that excites me, but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t also a little daunting. Change is weird, growth is uncomfortable, and creative evolution doesn’t happen overnight.

I just want to take a moment to appreciate those of you who trust my vision, who see the beauty in this journey, and who allow me the space to explore and refine my artistry. I also understand that I’m in a bit of a weird place right now, straddling two styles as I find my footing.

To my clients, friends, and supporters,

After much reflection, I’ve made the difficult decision to close the doors of my studio and take a step back from photography for a season.

Effective September 1, 2026, Pixels & Prints Imagery will no longer be accepting new photography bookings, and the studio will officially close.

This decision has not come easily. For more than ten years, photography has been more than a career—it has been a way of connecting with people, preserving memories, and telling stories that matter. I’ve had the privilege of documenting weddings, growing families, new beginnings, milestones, and moments that can never be recreated. I am endlessly grateful for every client who trusted me with those memories.

At this point in my journey, I need time to rest and recharge. Running a business requires so much more than showing up with a camera, and after many years of pouring my heart into this work, I have realized it is time to step back and focus on myself and my family for a while.

While the studio is closing, this is not necessarily goodbye forever. Photography has been part of my life for far too long to know exactly what the future holds. For now, I am simply giving myself the space to breathe and discover what comes next.

Please note the following:

• All currently contracted weddings, events, and scheduled sessions will be completed as promised.

• No new sessions will be booked after September 1, 2026.

• Clients with unused gift certificates, account credits, or outstanding balances should contact me to schedule their session before September 1, 2026.

• All clients should download and save their galleries before September 1, 2026. After that date, gallery access and image retrieval cannot be guaranteed.

Thank you for supporting my dream, my business, and my family over the past decade. Thank you for inviting me into your lives and trusting me with your stories.

The studio may be closing, but the memories we’ve created together will always remain.

There comes a moment in a woman’s life when she realizes she’s spent years documenting everyone else’s story…

The first steps.
The birthday candles.
The graduations.
The milestones.

She has been the steady hands holding it all together, while quietly slipping out of the frame herself.

This session wasn’t about turning 40.

It was about coming home to herself.

She walked into my studio carrying the same insecurities so many women carry. The ones that whisper were somehow less beautiful than we were twenty years ago. That we should shrink ourselves instead of being seen.

But that’s the beautiful lie these photographs refuse to tell.

Because beauty was never found in youth.

It’s found in the softness that comes from loving deeply.
In the strength forged through sacrifice.
In the confidence that grows after surviving seasons that once felt impossible.
In the woman who has spent years choosing everyone else, and finally chose herself.

Forty doesn’t ask us to become someone new.

It invites us to meet the woman we’ve been becoming all along.

And she is extraordinary.

Thank you for trusting me with this chapter. I hope you look at these photographs and see the incredible, beautiful woman we all know and love.

If you’re new here, I’m Crystal.

Artist, illustrator, mom, and founder of Creative Comadre.

I’ve been practicing creative ritual for nearly 10 years now.

What started as an attempt to build a journaling and meditation practice eventually became something much deeper.

A simple ritual of slowing down, praying, reflecting, and expressing what was really going on inside of me through art journaling.

Over time, it helped me become more self-aware, more compassionate with myself, and more connected to God.

Eventually, I created a small box filled with the essentials I needed to stay consistent with my practice.

Last year, I had the honor of officiating and photographing this mama’s elopement as she married the love of her life. After everything life had thrown her way, watching her find her person felt like witnessing a chapter she had waited so long to write.

And now, I get to photograph another chapter of that story.

As a business owner, baker, wife, and mother, she pours so much of herself into the people she loves. Seeing her step into this season of motherhood with so much grace, strength, and joy is incredibly special.

So excited for Bri & Danny to welcome their sweet baby girl into the world!
