Some images from last Tuesday’s Ripening:Sisters of the Moon, An Open Rehearsal/Workshop Showing at the 14th St Y in Manhattan. This nascent work is inspired by the paintings, writings, and sculptures of the late great Leonora Carrington. The music for this post is by Meredith Monk (because I adore her!) Just to clarify, all of the music and sound for our open rehearsal was created and performed by Omar Zubair. Costumes from former Ripening incarnations by David Quinn and Karen Young. Dancer/performers are Alicia Dellimore, Colleen Edwards, Rosy Gentle, Joey Kipp, Mary Garrett Turner, Violet Spain, Lucy York, Trevor Vaughn , and me, Vanessa. by @planetnester
