Update from Mumbai 🇮🇳

Interceptors 026 and 027 are deployed and operational in Malad and Trombay waterways.

But we didn't do this alone.

Together with @my_bmc, the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board, and our local implementation partner, @plastic_fischer, we installed Interceptors 026 and 027 just ahead of the monsoon season.

Now, with monsoon rains in full swing, we are fine-tuning our processes, working with our partners to optimize waste interception in both creeks, and engaging with local communities with the help of @UnitedWayMumbai.

Also, a shoutout to AT Capital Pte Ltd / Experion Developers Pte Ltd and Optiver Foundation, who made these deployments possible.

Mumbai is part of our 30 Cities Program, which aims to reduce 1/3 of all plastic emissions from rivers into the ocean by the end of the decade.

Stay tuned for updates! by @plastic_fischer

All thanks to the partners who believed in our TrashBooms and helped us bring them to new cities, new rivers, and new communities. 🌊💙

From Mumbai to Bandung every location we expand to only happens because organisations decide to take action instead of waiting.

To all our partners, your support turns ideas into real plastic recovered and real impact on the ground. Thank you for Fisching with us.

And if your company wants to adopt a TrashBoom we’re ready whenever you are.
More rivers are waiting. So are we.

Hundreds of hands, several cleanups and a lot of people who gave up a Saturday to stand in the fields with us.

World Clean Up Day is the one day a year the rest of the world joins in, and it is genuinely good to see who turns up. Local teams, partner companies, neighbours from the villages closest to the water.

Thank you to everyone who showed up across our locations. Same time next year, and every day in between 💙

Did you know that nearly half of marine litter comes from packaging?

Black Friday is a good reminder of just how much packaging comes with the things we buy.

This year, on November 27th, we want to turn it into something positive for nature. Together with Plastic Fischer and participating companies, we’re aiming to remove 50,000 kg of plastic from the Citarum River in Bandung, Indonesia, before it can reach the ocean. Local teams collect and process the plastic, and every participating company helps make that work possible.

Want to take part? Get in touch with us and join Clean Stream Friday 2026.

Hero is a big word, and nobody in this video would use it about themselves.

They would tell you it is a job. That they were out there last Tuesday and they will be out there again next Tuesday, World Clean Up Day or not.

What made Bangalore different was the number of people who turned up alongside them, and the fact that somebody finally pointed a camera at the crew instead of at the plastic.

Thank you to @BlueDot.earth for the collaboration, and to everyone who gave us their Saturday. Follow along to hear more from the people who actually do this work 💙

Final goodbye to this lot 👋 Around 50 tonnes of river plastic now on its way to our co-processing partners.

Every bale in this shot is tracked, logged and fully accounted for. We only ever report plastic that has been collected, dried, sorted and properly processed. No inflated volumes, no water weight, no estimates. Just what actually happened.

Ask us anything about our operations and we will show you 🌍♻️

There is a version of this job that lives entirely on mood boards and good intentions. This is the other version: real rooms, real clients, real projects that each started as somebody’s least favourite part of their home. Tap through the ones that catch your eye and stay a while. Every single one began with a conversation not that different from the one we could be having.

Save the room that stopped you scrolling, then DM us the space you want us to do next.

If only scaling this up was as easy as pressing a button 🔘

It is not. It is people, persistence and a lot of unglamorous teamwork, repeated for years on end. Every extra river we protect means a system built, a crew trained and paid, a community on board, and the funding to keep all of it running long after the launch photos are taken. There is no shortcut anywhere in that, which is exactly why the support matters as much as it does.

Want to actually help clean rivers with us? It starts with a follow, and everything else runs through the link in bio 🌍♻️

Today the rest of the world does what this team does every single morning. 🌍

World Cleanup Day is genuinely brilliant and we are glad it exists. The only thing we would add is that the plastic comes back tomorrow. Which is why the work that actually shifts the number is the repetitive, unglamorous kind that happens on all the days nobody has given a name to. If today gets you out picking up what other people dropped, wonderful. Carry the feeling into the other 354.
Cleaning up beats talking about it, whatever the date. Follow along for the every-other-day version 💙

A morning of community action at Madiwala Lake, Bengaluru. 🌿

From young volunteers to people of all ages, the Madiwala Lake Plogathon saw the community come together for a lake cleanup, plastic waste collection and a cleaner Bengaluru.

And once the cleanup was done, everyone stayed back to celebrate with some great music, dancing and community spirit. 🎶

A small glimpse of a morning filled with sustainability, volunteering and environmental action.

3500 tonnes is not a rounding error or a projection. It is plastic pulled out of rivers across India and Indonesia by people who showed up every single day, then dried, sorted, baled and accounted for kilo by kilo. It did not stop being an enormous problem. It just stopped being a reason to do nothing about it.

Follow along and watch that number keep climbing 💙
