16,750 kg of plastic removed from rivers in India, thanks to 10 companies in the Sumthing community. That’s something worth celebrating. 🌊

We’re happy to share @plastic_fischer September Impact Report. In September alone, their teams collected 83,023 kg of river plastic!

Our latest cleanup with Plastic Fischer wrapped up in September. Together with 10 companies, we made it possible to remove 16,750 kg of plastic from two sites in Varanasi, India:
📍 Ravidas Park on the Assi River
📍 The Anupam Nagar drain, where it meets the Varuna River

Both rivers flow into the Ganges. By removing plastic here, the teams help prevent it from travelling further downstream, where it can harm wildlife and river ecosystems.
Every month, Plastic Fischer’s local teams intercept plastic using TrashBooms, sort it by hand and make sure it gets processed responsibly. Along the way, they also create fair and safe jobs for local communities, making it a win-win for both people and the environment. 😉
But why stop there? We’re not done yet!

Through our Clean Stream Friday campaign, we’re bringing businesses together to help remove 50,000 kg of plastic from the Citarum River in Bandung, Indonesia, one of the world’s most polluted rivers.
Cleaner rivers don’t happen overnight. They take people showing up.

Just a month ago, we collaborated with @bluedot.earth and @plastic_fischer in making a genuinely noble cause insanely fun! Hundreds of followers showed up to clean up the Madiwala Lake, one of Bengaluru’s largest on a Sunday morning while everyone in the city slowed down. And we showed up with @dixitvasu @alva.praveen @rayarakudurekatte and @nithin.m.kamath to encourage everyone!

Here’s a little throwback!

When @plastic_fischer met @bluedot.earth at Madiwala lake, the plastic didn’t stand a chance. We cleaned, we laughed, we danced🕺💃

Proof that caring for our lakes can be joyful too.

Comment ‘BPLOG’ to stay tuned for the next one 🙌

Did you know that nearly half of marine litter comes from packaging?

Black Friday is a good reminder of just how much packaging comes with the things we buy.

This year, on November 27th, we want to turn it into something positive for nature. Together with Plastic Fischer and participating companies, we’re aiming to remove 50,000 kg of plastic from the Citarum River in Bandung, Indonesia, before it can reach the ocean. Local teams collect and process the plastic, and every participating company helps make that work possible.

On 20 September 2026, @bluedot.earth , in association with @plastic_fischer , organised a cleanup drive at Madiwala Lake as part of World Cleanup Day.

More than 700 volunteers came together to walk, jog and clean around the lake and the TrashBoom site.

The cleanup brought together volunteers from different groups, organisations, colleges and companies.

The event was flagged off by @sowmyareddy_official .

Together, volunteers collected over 1,600 kg (1.6 tonnes) of waste from the lake and its surroundings.

The cleanup was not just about removing waste. It also brought people together to understand the amount of waste that reaches our natural spaces and the importance of keeping them clean.

Sunday morning, 700+ total volunteers with 50+ CGI volunteers , one beautiful lake — and a LOT of waste. 😅🌱

What started as a cleanup at Madiwala Lake turned into conversations, laughs, new connections and a little reminder that volunteering doesn’t always feel like work.

We found plastic, bottles, clothes, diapers and things that definitely didn’t belong in a lake.

But the real takeaway wasn’t how much we collected.

It was the thought we took back with us — if we don’t throw it, someone else doesn’t have to pick it up.

Clean today. Don’t dirty tomorrow. 💚

What started as a Sunday morning came together as a powerful community effort at Tannirbhavi Beach! 🌱🌊

♻️ ~53 bags of waste collected, including plastic bottles, covers, ropes, thermocol & Styrofoam, slippers, glass bottles and more — waste that could otherwise make its way back into our ocean.

👥 105 students joined hands:
• 75 students from Yenepoya College
• 30 students from St. Aloysius College
Along with Yenepoya College lecturers & staff, 5 Coastal Security Police personnel and 4 Plastic Fischer team members.

🌤️ And yes, the weather played its part too!

A successful beach cleanup made possible through collective action, teamwork and a shared responsibility towards our coast. 💙

Less plastic. Cleaner beaches. Healthier oceans. 🌊

What happens when people, purpose & music come together? 🎶🌱

This World Cleanup Day, Madiwala Lake got a little cleaner and a lot more alive.

Together with @bluedot.ngo and @plastic_fischer , we brought volunteers together for a Plogathon, where people showed up, picked up plastic, cleared waste and did their bit to give the lake some much-needed love. 🧤♻️

And then, we added a little music to the movement. 🎸

Through UnboxingBLR’s The Music Scene, local artists brought live music to the cleanup, turning an ordinary cleanup drive into a day filled with conversations, community, music and collective action.

Because taking care of our city doesn’t always have to feel like a chore.

Sometimes, it can sound like music.
Sometimes, it looks like strangers coming together.
And sometimes, it’s simply picking up that one piece of plastic lying next to you.

A cleaner Bengaluru. A louder community. And a reminder that change can start with us.

Big love to everyone who showed up, cleaned up and sang along. ❤️
