Not every consultation ends in a yes, and that is a good thing. Dr. Rose shares three reasons he might turn down a surgery request.

The first is unrealistic expectations, when what a patient is hoping for simply is not achievable through surgery. The second is health related, if a patient has conditions like diabetes or heart problems that make the procedure unsafe, the answer has to be no. The third is when there is no real deformity to correct, such as a patient requesting a tummy tuck who is already very thin, where their perception of their body does not match what surgery could realistically change.

Saying no is sometimes the most responsible and caring thing a surgeon can do.

When is hair restoration surgery actually the right next step? Dr. Yazid explains.

Surgery is typically recommended for patients whose hair loss has stabilized, who have an adequate donor area for transplantation, and whose hair loss cannot be sufficiently improved through medication alone. While age plays a role, the stability of the hair loss is the most important factor to consider.

The goal is not just to replace what has been lost, but to create a result that looks natural and continues to age well over the next 10, 20, even 30 years.

Non surgical hair restoration uses medications such as Minoxidil and Finasteride, along with other therapies depending on the patient, to help strengthen and protect the hair you already have.

Not all rhinoplasty procedures are the same. Dr. Kaufman breaks down the difference between primary and revision rhinoplasty.

Primary rhinoplasty is for someone who has never had nose surgery before and is looking to address aesthetic concerns, functional concerns, or both for the first time.
