I’ve sat with these feelings since yesterday. My heart is so full. And I’m so grateful. Excited. Energized. Hopeful. And most of all fortunate to have the skills to help those who need it. Thank you @premiersurgicalnetwork @plasticsurgerynj and @arsahealth not only for this beautiful new home to take care of my patients - but for creating an environment that values their physicians. 💕 I am so thankful to all of you that came last night, many who drove a VERY long drive to support our new office. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, support those impacted by breast cancer, and recognize the importance of access to comprehensive care.

At The Breast Center of New Jersey, we’re proud to bring together the expertise of Premier Surgical Network, The Institute for Advanced Reconstruction, and The Plastic Surgery Center to support patients throughout their breast cancer journey, from diagnosis and treatment to reconstruction and beyond.

For many, that knowledge can lead to important and deeply personal decisions about screening, prevention, and their health.

I’m honored to be featured in New Mobility in an article highlighting phrenic nerve reconstruction and the new possibilities it may offer for patients living with ventilator dependence after spinal cord injury.
For these patients, breathing independently can mean so much more than coming off a ventilator. It can mean greater independence, improved quality of life, and the ability to experience life with fewer limitations.
Phrenic nerve reconstruction is designed to restore the connection between the nervous system and the diaphragm, giving some patients an opportunity to regain diaphragmatic function.
I’m grateful to New Mobility for sharing this important story and, most importantly, for helping bring awareness to an option that many patients may not know exists.
For patients who have been told there are no other options, we want them to know there may be another path forward.
