𝙵𝚕𝚎𝚜𝚑 𝚘𝚏 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝙵𝚕𝚎𝚜𝚑 explores the practice of poetic writing with, within, from, and through trauma. The workshop also seeks the specificities of poetic writing within Sinophone bodies and lineages. During this afternoon gathering, seven poets will share their presence through discussion and silence. We will explore ways to attune to personal trajectories, affective undercurrents, embodied knowledge, and the skilful approaches that sustain the transmutation between fleshy holdings and poetic utterances. 📅 2–5 pm, 7th March, 2026, postcode N4. ∙ as an echo occupies space with deliberate redirections i enchant a discharge from a muslin cloth where do all these sadness and anger flow? when the collapsing bearing bodies, uphold a vegetal dignity wishing to mercy, the deadening latex, dissected by moulds empathy or compassion or the seeping coldness from both? do you still remember to empty your bag when the pocket organ murmurs slime, out of its throat as a big sigh, communication starts heavy ends indifferent, all those internal works those drainings, baggages of lumps and turmoils combustibles, the worth of messiness with no return of their investment separation without a greeting, the golden rule they hold, there is no time for a proper farewell when the long story wilts short they treat it with coolness like a civic worker behind the counter, the dam they incited time to build while it didn’t have to vent this way out, your so called civility time has a boundary that boundary cuts time off the torso to bite our tails we need to turn all the way around, re-turn, re-re-the-turn attachments drag us to our thresholds the thresholds are circular vanish like ripples imprint like a chain of splashes when our gravities meet our needs – the sounds of weathering minerals striking silence that pipe they put in your epiglottis, with love is dripping beeswax, unattended its inflammation is taking over their role slow burn, their motherwort down the skin the exoskeleton is bleeding into the mantle darkening, blackening the fleshy petal pelvic floor there are unbounded endurance of sufferings to go ∙ by @playingthehang

I’ll be @asymmetryartorg with @yuhangzhang6964 for an open library session 'INFILTRATION: THE MOVING LOCUS OF BREAKDOWN’ from 1-5pm, we’ll be sharing thoughts on the tensions and affinities between adjacent inhabitants when it comes to psychological, biological, and geological breakdowns generated from my long term collaboration with @shuyi_cao and our research collective with @yuhangzhang6964, excited to share some of my recent research references and thoughts on how trauma and indigestion could enact situational (un)learning, challenging the fixtures of what is internalised and what is beyond reach (I’ve brought many tasty, juicy books to @asymmetryartorg for a proper dive in its lovely library;) ) come over and say hi if you’re interested! Topography of Decay I’m very proud to share this small programme of a publication, two open library sessions, and a panel discussion I put up with @shuyi_cao and @yuhangzhang6964. It was made of shared research interests, genuine experimentations and a sense of gift for friends which gradually grows into a vigorous little creature. The publication was designed by @ella_hxy0513 and edited by @nickyu15 come over to @asymmetryartorg and say hi before christmas🦠🫁🪱🪨 reposted from @asymmetryartorg 🪨Topography of Decay: Panel Discussion & Open Library 'Topography of Decay’ is a multi-part programme series comprising of a self-published zine and artist book, a panel discussion, and open library sessions on the themes of queer ecology, geotrauma, and risk capitalism. On Friday, 15 December, join us for a panel discussion where the collaborators will share their respective research and practices, untangling relevant threads on ecological thinking, gothic materialism, and posthumanist discourses. The panel will be hosted by our alumnus Hang Li and PhD Scholar Yuhang Zhang in person, and joined by artist Shuyi Cao on Zoom. Copies of the zine, 'Topography of Decay’ will be distributed to the audience at the event. Festive drinks will follow the panel discussion.
