Women had to fight to be heard at the ballot box and now women have to fight so our votes are our own! Nobody HAS to vote someone else’s choice.
This too is a woman’s opportunity and right to choose!

Today I spent time with indigo! The Mingei Museum, San Diego, is showing a collection of indigo garments, paper, quilts, royal attire, cloth, both contemporary and ancient.
So many beautiful pieces.

🤩What a fantastic end of August we had here at HMOC and out and about in the community!

🎶We participated for the first time in the worldwide Play Music on the Porch Day last Saturday with a lovely group of musicians and community members who joined in on the Kellogg House porch for a jam session and sing along with Peggy @plcookooleilei from @ukulele_soup_orange!

💃🏻HMOC had a community outreach day joining others with our booth to celebrate Chicano Heritage Day at the @cityofsantaana festival

🇺🇸And we watched the festivities and talked to the public from our HMOC booth at the @cityofhb Civil War Days!

🎉Lots of fun things happening in September too, be sure to visit our events calendar to stay up to date on all the HMOC happenings! HeritageMuseumOC.org/events-calendar taken in Heritage Museum of Orange County by @plcookooleilei

Come play with UkeFull, Fullerton’s Ukulele Club, on September 14 from 3-5pm at Mo’s Fullerton Music Center. UPDATE! The songs I’ve picked to play are In The Midnight Hour by Wilson Pickett, Rock a Roll by The Velvet Underground, and Hot To Go! by Chappell Roan. We’re also going to do some blues jamming where everyone will get a chance to solo! We’ll do a segment of Open Mic time and I’ve spoken to @jimdoeslight and he has agreed to bring a few songs, too. What do you want to play with us? by @plcookooleilei
