From the window gallery on Church St to 312 Optical on College and Augusta. I felt a couple of these faces needed something as well as a new home. This series explores the diversity of faces and the richness of our collective cultures, histories, and personal stories. Rather than portraying a single identity, these images suggest that every person is shaped by countless influences, places, traditions, and the visual culture that surrounds us. Each fragment carries its own history, and when layered together, they form new narratives that are both familiar and unexpected.

The contrast between graphic magazine imagery and the intricate beauty of Japanese paper creates a dialogue between contemporary popular culture and timeless craftsmanship, emphasizing both difference and connection.

Through these collaged portraits, I invite viewers to look beyond surface appearances and consider identity as something constructed, layered, and continually evolving. By bringing together diverse materials to create diverse faces, the work celebrates the beauty found in contrast, coexistence, and the many pieces that make up the mosaic of who we are. by @plight007
