improvised live electronic music duo based in Boorloo (Perth)

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Meet the artist. plimp @plimpmusic

plimp create dance music by blending the raw, industrial energy of noise and techno with hypnotic, atmospheric synthesizer passages. Their live improvised playing styles are a dynamic exploration of contrasts—Alex Winner drives pulsing rhythms through a drum machine with gritty industrial FX, while Craig Robinson aka ‘dont know’ crafts immersive soundscapes using a synthesizer and looping pedals. Influenced by techno, deep house, noise, and experimental music, plimp creates a free-form improvised sonic journey where structure meets chaos.

Fresh from their festival set at Deep Bush and recent events at the Rechabite and The Bird, plimp are looking forward to their debut performance at the Buff

plimp is an electronic duo blending techno, industrial, house, dub and experimental genres with heavy hypnotic rhythms

Every plimp live show is different and a heaving dark club is the plimp’s natural habitat. They can’t wait to get heavy down in the basement this Friday night! by @plimpmusic

At home under the ground that she shakes. Monchiichi will be freestyling this set playing bass, tec and whatever the hell else she feels like. This will be a very beautiful thing. by @plimpmusic

Chooky

Who is this mysterious man some may ask. Chooky’s name has legendary status for those who have witnessed him. His sets are super rare but they usually involve him tearing apart genres and distorting reality itself. Notorious for turning down many enticing offers to play we are beyond excited to host this musical phenomenom.

Witness him yourself on Friday Night at the Goodwill Club 9pm - late by @plimpmusic

plimp are proud to present Stop The Bop, a club night focusing on upfront sounds spanning techno, house, experimental, bass and beyond. Not your standard bop and go through the motions night, it features an incredible and diverse lineup of DJ talent including Ben Taafe B2B Mobias, Chooky and Monchiichi, as well a live set from plimp!

Ben Taafe and Mobias are the 2 dons of the Perth underground, the two of them playing a heavy set together will be one for the ages.

Chooky (Naarm), anyone who has ever caught set a set from this mind melting enigma of the music world will know this one can’t be missed. From casually closing out festivals such as Deep Bush (and destroying it!), a set from Chooky is super rare and it is an honour to host this legend.

Monchiichi is one of Boorloo’s brightest stars, bringing sounds bursting with twisted club flava! Expect some hot and heavy bass sounds that will shake the floor and you with it!

plimp (live set) plimp can’t can’t wait to get deep and heavy down in the basement. Expect hypnotic rhythms, twisted grooves and analog madness!
