Meet the athletes behind the mindset.

Introducing Jesse Morris, the newest addition to the ILU Athlete family.

Based in Sydney, Australia, Jesse represents the commitment, discipline, and consistency it takes to keep pushing forward. The journey is built long before the results are seen, through the work put in when nobody is watching and the decision to keep showing up.

We’re proud to support athletes who embody this mindset and inspire others through their pursuit of progress.

My top tips when I direct models…
Some of my tips of making models feel comfortable in front of camera.
-
-
-
1. Don’t be afraid to mimic the movement!
Rehearse key poses before you start rolling. Sometimes showing is easier than telling - even if you are not a model, give them a visual of how you’d like their body to move. It also breaks the ice. When you are willing to model for them, they will be willing to model for you. 👏🏽

2. Make direction clear!
Simple and easy to understand. Simple instruction in a controlled manner gives the model time to react without overwhelming their senses. Allow 2-5 seconds between pose changes (depending of how experienced the model is). Too many changes with too much instruction becomes clunky, overwhelming and can throw off your model.

3. Small changes are still changes!
Even a slight head tilt or changing which foot their weight is on can translate well on camera. Movements don’t have to be elaborate, they just have to be intentional. If in doubt, “chin up and chin down” can get you some new looks.

4. Slow down!
I like to tell the model to move at 50% slow mo. When shooting video we don’t need movements to be sporadic and clinical like photography - telling them to move in slow motion makes the movement natural, candid and not too “posey”.

5. Don’t be afraid to explore new poses !
Let your model try movements or give them unorthodox movements every now and then. Sometimes it lands and sometimes it doesn’t - but when it does, the pay off is better than you expected. taken in Sydney, Australia by @plumm.au

POV: 32 year old living his dream and capturing every human moment along the way.

I’m so drawn to capturing human moments, raw, unexpected, authentic and have found myself gravitating towards capturing people, doing human things!

These moments to me are golden 🙌🏽

I’m not anti AI, I’m just pro-human, baby! ✊🏾😜

The human comes first and it always starts with a feeling.

Why?
Because feelings create memories. ✅

We forget information but we remember how things made us feel.

So…
Give them something to remember, give them something to feel. ❤️

A few small moments from a BIG production for @williamsf1official ft @alex_albon . 🏍️ 🏄🏾 🪂

This piece asked a lot of everyone involved — creatively, and logistically — watching it all come together across just 7 days was pretty special.

These are some of my favourite moments from the film. Small moments inside a very big team effort. Check out the full version in my previous post.
