📰 PMAC OPEN MIC NIGHT — IN THE PAPER!

A huge moment for us seeing the launch of PMAC Open Mic Night featured in the October edition of Post Newspapers.

Thank you to Tim Blackburn for taking the time to speak with me and write about what we’re building here in Bolton, and thank you to Post Newspapers for giving a platform to the local music scene.

Most importantly, thank you to every performer who stepped on that stage at our launch. The whole reason we started this night was to create a space where artists can perform, connect, collaborate and support each other — without the usual sense of competition. The artists made that vision real from the very first night.

A massive thank you as well to @headspacebolton for providing us with a home at The Den and supporting what we’re trying to build for Bolton’s creative community.

And now we go again. 🎤

THIS WEDNESDAY — 7TH OCTOBER
📍 Headspace Den at @headspacebolton, Bradshawgate, Bolton
⏰ 6PM–10PM
🎟️ £5 entry
🎤 Rappers, singers and performers welcome

We’re also doing TWO GIVEAWAYS, with the winners chosen at random:

🎙️ An interview with Bolton FM
🎧 A FREE 1-hour studio session with Shamschi (new customers only)

Whether you want to perform, meet other creatives, discover new artists or just come down and support the scene — this is your invitation.

The first night showed us what Bolton has. Now it’s about making each month bigger.

See you Wednesday.

🎤 MORE TALENT. MORE ENERGY. MORE FROM THE PMAC OPEN MIC. 🔥

Five artists. Five completely different approaches to the mic.

@inkmancarden, @dutch_bl3, @fabio.oconnor, @zaani1_1 and PMAC founder @bshafmusic all took to the stage at the PMAC Open Mic Launch — each showing a different side of what the North West music scene has to offer. 🎶

From Carden’s lyrical prowess at just 19, to Dutch’s effortless flow switches, Fabio’s music with meaning, Zaani’s unmistakable voice and aura, and PMAC founder B-SHAF stepping onto the very stage he created to join the artists and share in the energy himself — there was no shortage of talent in the building. 🎤🔥

Different styles. Different perspectives. Different stages of the journey.

One stage bringing them all together.

That’s what we’re building with the PMAC Open Mic — somewhere artists can showcase what they do, experiment with something new, connect with other creatives and perform in a room that genuinely wants to see them win. 🤝

Make sure you follow the artists and keep up with what they’re doing:

🎤 @inkmancarden
🎤 @dutch_bl3
🎤 @fabio.oconnor
🎤 @zaani1_1
🎤 @bshafmusic

And if watching these clips has you thinking “I could do that…” — come and do it.

📅 Wednesday 7th October
📍 Bolton
🎤 Then every first Wednesday of the month

Rap. Sing. Spoken word. A cappella. Original music. Famous beats. Experienced performer or stepping onto a stage for the first time — the mic is open.

Or just come down, discover some talent and enjoy the energy.

This is only the beginning. 🔥

🎤 MORE FROM THE PMAC OPEN MIC LAUNCH! 🔥

@mcshallar_mcr, @yintebeats, @faryyy._ and @robertablack_ each stepped onto the PMAC Open Mic stage and brought something completely different. 🌍🎶

Reggae vibes. Stage presence. Bilingual flows. Soulful vocals.

Different sounds, different styles, different stories — but all sharing the same stage through a genuine love for music. ❤️‍🔥

And that’s exactly what we want the PMAC Open Mic to be.

A space where artists can perform, experiment, connect, build confidence and be discovered — while music lovers get to experience some of the talent coming out of Bolton, Manchester and beyond.

Here’s some more footage from the night featuring four artists you should definitely have on your radar. 👀

Make sure you follow all four artists and support what they’ve got coming next:

🎤 @mcshallar_mcr
🎤 @yintebeats
🎤 @faryyy._
🎤 @robertablack_

📅 Wednesday 7th October

Whether you rap, sing, perform spoken word, want to try a stage for the first time, or simply want to come down and discover some incredible talent — the mic is open and everyone is welcome.

The first Wednesday of every month.

Come for the music. Stay for the energy. 🎤🔥

🎤 THE FOUNDER HAD TO TOUCH THE MIC TOO. 🔥

PMAC founder @bshafmusic stepped from behind the event and onto the stage — reminding everyone that PMAC was built by an artist, for artists.

Across the night, B-SHAF performed three of his released tracks — FIGHTING, CHANGES & O2 — alongside three throwaways from his X Sessions with @produced.by.shamschi.

No upcoming singles. No unreleased album material. Those are staying firmly in the vault ahead of the album dropping next year. 👀🔒

Instead, this clip captures what happened after the performances were supposed to be finished.

@champagnepapi’s “Janice STFU” came on straight from YouTube, B-SHAF grabbed some throwaway lyrics from the X Sessions and suddenly the stage turned into a full-blown cypher. 🎤🔥

Artists jumped back on stage. Beats were being pulled up from YouTube. People were freestyling, rapping, jumping in with each other and just having fun with music.

And that might have captured the spirit of the PMAC Open Mic better than anything we could have planned.

No egos. No competition. No standing around trying to look cool.

Just artists supporting artists, feeding off each other’s energy and sharing a genuine love for music. 🤝🎶

That camaraderie is exactly what @bshafmusic created PMAC to encourage — a space where established performers can sharpen their craft, new artists can take their first steps, and somebody who has never touched a stage before can decide tonight’s the night they give it a go.

You don’t even have to perform.

Come to watch. Connect. Support. Discover new artists. Hear unreleased music. Experience the energy.

And if inspiration hits while you’re there? Get on stage.

Rap. Sing. Perform spoken word. Go a cappella. Bring your own music. Rap over a famous beat. The mic is open. 🎤

Massive thank you to @headspace for providing us with a home for the night, and to @rhymerepublicfm and @wearethemu for coming down and supporting what we’re building. ❤️

Missed the launch?

📅 Wednesday 7th October
Then the first Wednesday of every month.

Whether you make music or simply love it, there’s a place for you in that room.

🎤 SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST BORN TO RAP. 🌟

@zaani1_1 proved exactly that at the PMAC Open Mic.

Before you even get to the bars, you notice the voice. Deep, textured and instantly commanding — when Zaani speaks, the room listens. This is a man who was born to use his voice, and rap feels like the perfect home for it. 🎤🔥

Then you add the rest.

Confidence. Charisma. Lyrical ability. Natural stage presence.

And boy does this man have AURA. 😮‍💨

Nothing about his performance felt forced. @zaani1_1 looked completely at home on stage, carrying himself like someone who already knows exactly where he belongs.

So we’re calling it now:

THIS MAN WILL BE FAMOUS. 🌟

We genuinely believe we made a little piece of history by having @zaani1_1 perform on the PMAC Open Mic stage this early in his journey — and one day, people might be saying they wish they were in that room.

If you missed him, you’ve got another chance.

📅 Wednesday 7th October.
@zaani1_1 is coming back to shell it again. 🔥

But we should probably warn you…

Listening to Zaani gets addictive.

Follow @zaani1_1 now, come witness him live on the 7th, and remember where you heard the name.

Bolton is lucky to have him — and so are we. ❤️‍🔥

🎤 A RAPPER WITH SOMETHING TO SAY. 💎

@fabio.oconnor is a rapper on a mission and in a genre where it can be easy to follow the same formulas and repeat the same rhetoric, Fabio is choosing substance.

His music has meaning. His lyrics cut through, hit the heart and leave you with something to think about long after the song finishes.

But don’t mistake meaningful for boring.

Fabio strikes that difficult balance between storytelling, positive messages and head-bopping flows; making music that can make you think while still making you move. 🎶🔥

What makes it even more impressive? He hasn’t released a single yet.

And the buzz is already building.

Having already been interviewed on @rebelrachradio’s show on @boltonfm, people are beginning to recognise what we witnessed on the PMAC Open Mic stage.

This isn’t just an artist we think is one to watch. Artists like Fabio are needed.

At a time when young people are constantly influenced by what they hear, @fabio.oconnor is showing that rap can carry wisdom, positivity and purpose without losing what makes the music exciting in the first place. 🧠🎤

A rare gem and Bolton is fortunate to have him. 💎

Follow @fabio.oconnor now so you can say you were there before the first single even dropped. 👀

And come down to the next PMAC Open Mic on Wednesday 7th October to watch him perform, connect with the crowd and hear what all the buzz is about.

Remember the name. @fabio.oconnor

🎤 A MASTERCLASS IN FLOWS.🔥

@dutch_bl3 stepped onto the PMAC Open Mic stage and gave everyone in the room a lesson in what happens when a rapper has truly put in the hours.

This is a seasoned MC who has done his 10,000 hours and you can hear it.

Slow flows. Fast flows. Pocket changes. Different cadences. Different BPMs. @dutch_bl3 switches between them so effortlessly that during one set it felt like we heard 100 different ways to attack a beat. 🤯

And somehow, he makes every switch look easy.

But technical ability is only half the story. What really stood out was his originality. He doesn’t sound like he’s trying to imitate anybody else. He has his own approach, his own pockets and his own identity on a beat.

The energy was undeniable too, earning a stamp of approval from @rhymerepublicfm, who were blown away by the performance and recognised exactly what they were witnessing. 🏆

Whether the BPM goes up, comes down or switches completely, @dutch_bl3 knows his way around a beat.

Don’t just take our word for it.

Follow @dutch_bl3 and come watch him perform at the next PMAC Open Mic on Wednesday 7th October.

Come and see how a real rapper does it. 🎤🔥

🎤 THIS IS EXACTLY WHY BOLTON NEEDS AN OPEN MIC! 💎

@robertablack_ stepped onto the PMAC Open Mic stage as she begins an exciting new chapter — the start of her journey as an artist. And what a way to introduce herself. 🔥

She had the crowd going crazy with her smooth, soulful vocals, opening her set completely a cappella — no backing track, no music, nothing to hide behind. Just her voice. 🎶

And she proved one thing very quickly…

She doesn’t need music to carry her voice — her voice IS the music.

We were also treated to an exclusive first listen to some unreleased original music that she’ll be dropping soon. 👀

And that’s exactly what the PMAC Open Mic is about — providing a platform for artists at different stages of their journey, discovering talent, hearing music before it drops and experiencing it live in the room.

So if you want to hear exclusive unreleased music in person, you know where you need to be. 🎤

@robertablack_ is a hidden gem entering an exciting new chapter, and we’re glad the PMAC stage gets to be part of the beginning of that journey. 💎

Go follow @robertablack_ and stay locked in for her upcoming releases — because we have a feeling she won’t be hidden for much longer. 👀🔥

🎤 “19?!” — THE REACTION OF THE NIGHT! 🤯🔥

At just 19 years old, @inkmancarden stepped onto the PMAC Open Mic stage and left the whole room questioning what they’d just witnessed.

“19!” quickly became the anthem of the night as people struggled to believe that someone so young could perform with that level of lyrical ability, confidence and maturity.

And rightly so.

@inkmancarden came equipped with ridiculous flows, relatable lyrics and genuine substance behind his words. This wasn’t just impressive for his age — this was an impressive artist, full stop. 🎤💥

It was a privilege to give Carden a platform to unleash his lyrical prowess and show the room exactly what he’s capable of. If this is where he is at 19, the potential is frightening. 🌟

Carden is seriously one to watch.

Go follow @inkmancarden, check out his music on YouTube, and remember the name. We already can’t wait to see him tear up a stage again. 👀🔥

🎤 FIRST EVER LIVE PERFORMANCE — AND HE SHUT IT DOWN! 🇵🇰🔥

You would never have guessed this was @faryyy._’s first time performing in front of a live audience.

Switching effortlessly between Urdu and English, he stepped onto the PMAC Open Mic stage representing Pakistan and showed exactly why music transcends language and boundaries. 🌍🎶

Not everyone in the room could understand every word — but they didn’t need to. They could feel the flows, the delivery and the energy. That’s the power of music.

For a first-ever performance, his confidence and natural presence on stage stood out massively. No nerves showing, no looking out of place — just an artist who looked like he belonged up there. 💥

This could be the beginning of something special.

Make sure you follow @faryyy._ and keep an eye out for what he drops next. We’re definitely looking forward to hearing more. 👀🔥
