Happy National DANCE day!

I thought it was fitting to post my senior lyrical solo today!💜
I have always wanted to perform to “It’s all coming back to me now” by Céline Dion. And I got the opportunity to dance to this song for my last lyrical solo.

As I danced to this song it brought back all of the memories from when I was a young dancer. It makes me realize how much I have grown as a dancer and individual. Dance has shaped me into the person I am today and I am so thankful for the people I have meant through dance.

This solo is one of my favorite solos and it will always have a special place in my heart. It is hard to believe that I will never compete this dance again but I am so grateful that this got to be my very last lyrical solo.

As I performed I hoped to inspire young dancers to put themselves out there and not to hold back. It is crazy how fast time flies by. I want young dancers to enjoy every moment and every second they have on the dance stage. Because in that moment I couldn’t believe I was a senior competing my last ever solo. I will never forget the feeling and pure JOY I had when performing this dance. This solo shows people exactly who I am and my true passion for dance.

I am grateful that this solo has touched so many people’s hearts and I am excited for my journey ahead of me.

Just cuz I LOVE dance❤️

Sharing one of my favorite old lyrical solos. This solo will always have a special place in my heart. As I performed and competed this solo I wanted to remind people of the little things in life. Never take a minute for granted, enjoy every moment. As I danced I showcased my beauty, strength, and grace.

To young dancers, work hard and never give up. Your day will come. I remember how nervous I was competing my very first solo. I just wanted those 3 minutes to be over. I still do not know how my dance teachers and mom ever got me on that stage because I was terrified. When I first started doing solos they weren’t my favorite but I have learned to love them. When I am onstage the whole world stops and I just want it to last forever.

I am so grateful for every opportunity dance has given me and I am so happy this solo has touched so many hearts. I competed this solo at Dance Masters of America where I placed in the top 20. I also was fortunate enough to win the title of Miss Butler County’s Teen with this solo. I have competed this solo numerous different places although it was extra special to me when I was asked to be a guest performer at the Little/ Junior Miss Butler County Pageant.

I love performing and sharing my love for dance with others. There is no better place to be than on the dance stage.

Saying goodbye to this Dance family will be one of the hardest things I will ever do! I am so thankful to have called this HOME for the past 15 years. I will never forget my friends @butlercenterforperformingarts

Dance is not just what I do, it is who I am! DANCE has taught me so many lessons in life and I believe has whole heartedly shaped me into the person I am today. Although I could not be where I am now without my dance teachers. To Mr. Mickey, thank you for always pushing us ladies to be better everyday and teaching us acrobatics. You are a phenomenal gymnast and such an inspiration. To Ms. Marisa, thank you for being our new amazing contemporary teacher. To Mr. Buddy, these past few years you have been missed at the studio although your guidance still leads us. You are so funny and one of my favorite memories is when you would call Gracyn and I grandmas for being the last ones into class and the last ones out! To Ms. Brittany @brittpent thank you for always choreographing the BEST dances for us. Especially our Jazz numbers they were my favorite. Thank you for being a mentor and role model to me. You have helped me succeed in so many ways and further my dance journey. As I head into Miss Pennsylvanian’s Teen Week I wanted to thank you for choreographing the best jazz solo for me. To Ms. Terry @tapster81 thank you for teaching me how to tap dance. I know it wasn’t easy but you never gave up on me. Thank you for giving me new opportunities and telling me to do pageants. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be heading to Miss Pennsylvania’s Teen this week. To Ms. Terri, you will always be my favorite ballet teacher. Thank you for taking me under your wing and treating us like your kids. Thank you for sharing your love of dance with us. And finally to Ms. Jenna, I do not think you realize how much you are loved and how important you are to this studio. You saw something in me when no one else did. Thank you for pushing me and helping me grow as a dancer. It is so hard to let go of this home but I am excited to see what my dance future holds.
