Wherever September took me, Barbados went with me.

From Parliament to the United Nations, we kept making our people’s case. There were friendships strengthened, honours shared, warm embraces with our Bajan family abroad and the sheer joy of Caribbean cricket.

I close this month grateful for those moments and for the privilege of serving you. We keep going, for our people and the generations counting on us. by @pmobarbados

August reminded us once again that building a stronger Barbados means keeping our people at the centre of everything we do.

Throughout the month, our work continued as we focused on creating opportunities, strengthening our economy, supporting families and standing with our Caribbean neighbours.

We also took time to celebrate our culture, our traditions and all that makes us uniquely Bajan, because even as we move forward, we must remain grounded in who we are and proud of the identity that has shaped us as a people. by @pmobarbados

On behalf of the Government and people of Barbados, I extend warm congratulations to the Government and people of Trinidad and Tobago as you celebrate 64 years of Independence.

Trinidad and Tobago remains one of the great pillars of our Caribbean family. Your culture, creativity, enterprise and spirit have enriched our entire region, while your people have long opened their hearts and homes to their Caribbean brothers and sisters.

The ties between our nations are rooted in family, friendship and a shared history that is deeper and more enduring than any single moment. Our Caribbean future will always be strongest when we choose respect, solidarity and the greater good of our region.

Happy Independence, Trinidad and Tobago. May your people continue to rise, prosper and help carry our Caribbean civilisation forward.

For too long, the people of St Lucy and eastern St Peter have lived with discoloured water. They deserve to turn on a tap and see the difference.

That difference is beginning to be felt. Some 43 kilometres of mains have been replaced, and water quality is significantly better for most residents. However, the work is not finished.

Two of the five containers for the advanced filtration plant are already on the water and due in September. The remaining three are expected by the end of October. I have asked that every reasonable effort be made to complete installation by December.

Until then, Government will continue paying the basic water rate for affected residents.

A deal is a deal is a deal. St Lucy has waited long enough. We will carry you to the end of this process. by @pmobarbados

Some months show the full work of building a country.

From climate finance and energy, to manufacturing, science, agriculture, banking and regional integration, every engagement carried one message: Barbados must be ready for what is coming.

Resilience is preparation. Progress is discipline. Opportunity is something we must keep building, sector by sector, for every Barbadian. taken in Barbados by @pmobarbados
