Bringing together sea cadets and maritime leaders from across the world was a powerful reminder that while we may sail under different flags, we are united by a common commitment to discipline, service, leadership, and the development of our young people.

It was a privilege to help steer the course and ensure that every moment was worthy of this distinguished gathering.

Wherever September took me, Barbados went with me.

From Parliament to the United Nations, we kept making our people’s case. There were friendships strengthened, honours shared, warm embraces with our Bajan family abroad and the sheer joy of Caribbean cricket.

I close this month grateful for those moments and for the privilege of serving you. We keep going, for our people and the generations counting on us.

The finals were all about coming together as one big, happy Caribbean family to witness a historic cricket match like never before.

The energy, the cheering, the excitement, it was truly something special. Cricket fans from across the Caribbean and beyond came together as one, celebrating every moment while moving to the infectious beats of our Caribbean drums.

Different islands, different flags, but one Caribbean family united by our love for cricket, culture and each other.

This was more than just a cricket final it was a celebration of Caribbean unity, pride and passion.

A day of laughter, connection, and good vibes!

The National Library Service team had a wonderful time at our Staff Day & Picnic, hosted by the Prime Minister’s Office, which gave our team and others a chance to step away from the usual routine, relax, and enjoy each other’s company.

From great conversations and delicious food to fun activities and plenty of smiles, it was a day to celebrate our amazing staff and the work we do together.

Here’s to teamwork, fellowship, and making memories beyond the workplace!

August reminded us once again that building a stronger Barbados means keeping our people at the centre of everything we do.

Throughout the month, our work continued as we focused on creating opportunities, strengthening our economy, supporting families and standing with our Caribbean neighbours.

We also took time to celebrate our culture, our traditions and all that makes us uniquely Bajan, because even as we move forward, we must remain grounded in who we are and proud of the identity that has shaped us as a people.
