The quality of your scars are a combination of your surgeons technique and your individual skin quality. There are lots of things on the market to reduce the appearance of the scar. I haven’t really used anything other than @biooilusa . In all honesty my scars basically looked like this when the surgical tape came off. I remember at my two week follow up appointment @griffin_plastic_surgery nurse said “you scar so well”. I caught a crazy sale from @stuartweitzman on these stretch nappa leather over the knee boots a few years ago. As a size 11/12 I had to get them but couldn’t get them over my knee/thighs. We don’t talk about this enough, but being fit and having muscle offer easier recovery and response to surgery, elective or otherwise.

@pmobley97 has been fit her entire adult life. When the weight was impacting her quality of life, she carefully decided upon the best intervention for her needs. She had an amazing surgeon @griffin_plastic_surgery , and post care team.

But what people might not fully grasp is the YEARS she spent becoming the most fit she could be. It’s one reason she was able to withstand a post-operation infection that could have been MUCH worse if not for her already having healthy habits in place. She wasn’t scrambling after surgery to suddenly change her lifestyle, it was on lock already.

The definition of “stay ready so you don’t have to get ready.”

I enjoy seeing all the love she gets on her content-and I hope people fall in love with the lifestyle she’s living even more. by @pmobley97

Today you would have been 88 years old and all I could think about is how I live an extraordinary abundant blessed life because of you. While you sacrificed and struggled you also taught the me importance of having all of my needs and most of my wants met. For as much as you did for others, when it was time you honored yourself. I had an amazing mini vacation where I luxuriated and enjoyed my friends.

The last couple of years, I’ve been able to do something that I know you are proud of. When my brother died, you told me how you blamed yourself for my weight gain when you and my daddy got divorced. You said it broke your heart that you could see me eating myself to death and you didn’t know what to do about it. I was always a bigger kid though. You never made me ashamed. You always encouraged me and made sure I knew I was not only smart but I was also beautiful.

You said when I was ready I would lose weight and guess what? I did and I’ve healed. I finally learned when to raise my hand and ask for help. The weight was never just the number on the scale. So on this heavenly birthday, I want you to know I always looked in the mirror and saw my daddy but now all I see is you. PS thanks for the tiny waist, long legs and big hips…I wasn’t ready for this til now…God knew what he was doing.

I love and miss you every single day that passes.
