How much faith did I put into PocketMeter Pro?

Here’s a quick preview of the PocketMeter Pro tap-to-spot meter, which gives you an idea of the various exposures in your shot. When you find the exposure you want, tap LOG to save your image with its metadata in the caption. The caption includes your standard exposure information (aperture, shutter speed, and ISO), plus white balance, rangefinder distance, and geolocation with Apple Maps integration.

Now available at the Apple App Store (Link in Bio). by @pocketmeter.pro

One of the nice things about PocketMeter Pro is logging the meta data for your shot. The meta data includes all of the standard issued exposure info: aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, like the other apps, however, PocketMeter Pro has a bit more like white balance, distance rangefinder, and geotagging integration with Apple Maps.

In an upcoming in v1.1, if you do a spot meter reading, then log the shot, you will have the option to show where the tap-to-spot meter reading took place. by @pocketmeter.pro

We’re diving into a small education series on how to get the most out of your experience with the PocketMeter Pro app! We start with its origin story. I hated having to remember how shutter angle translated to shutter speed, so I set out on this journey to solve that one problem: building a light meter app on my phone that gave me both shutter speed for stills and shutter angle for motion capture. For those who shoot both a stills camera and a motion picture film camera, like a Super 8 or 16mm, this meter will help you get the exact exposure for your frame. Then we briefly dive into reading a false color map so you know exactly what to expect from your exposure. by @pocketmeter.pro

PocketMeter Pro is now available on the @apple @appstore! This isn’t any ordinary light meter! PocketMeter Pro takes both cinematography and photography worlds and smashes them into a single app. Photographers have the tools to visualize their exposure with a tool cinematographers depend on, false color. Cinematographers have the ability to add ND into their light meter reading straight from the deck and so much more!

Ten Thousand website views! Wow! Thank you all for taking the time to check out this app! This project started from a place of frustration where I just couldn’t find the light meter that was right for me. PocketMeter Pro was never built to replace a light meter. It was built as a dependable backup or an extension for metering your light and was a tool that was simple and functional.

If you’re beta testing your app, I would love to hear your feedback! Share pictures, screenshots, and screen recordings with PocketMeter Pro in action!
