Practice Notes #008
I’ve been wanting to learn this one for a while.
Today I decided to put my ears to the test.
One part clicked.
The other didn’t.

Still listening.

I needed the quiet.
A couple days away gave space to breathe, reset, and be present.

Now I’m ready to get back to the work.
No rushing.
No catching up.
Just building.

The work didn’t stop.
It just looked different.
The laptop wasn’t available, so I found other ways to keep building.

The setback stayed.
So did my discipline.

The laptop is still in the shop.
So I found another way to create.
This week reminded me that growth doesn’t have to stop just because the circumstances change.

Laptop is back at the shop.
I’m still here.
This past week reminded me that the tools may change, but the work continues.
Still have to show up.

I can’t negotiate with the things I say matter.
This past week reminded me that if it matters, I have to show up.
Discipline has to become the standard.

Producer Notes #006
Every lesson makes me a better producer.
This past week reminded me that producing isn’t confined to the studio.
It’s found anywhere music is being shaped, even in the classroom.

The songs haven’t changed.
I have.
This past week reminded me that every return reveals something new.

The plan changed. The vision didn’t.
This past week reminded me that commitment isn’t sticking to a plan but staying faithful to the path when the plan changes.

This past week reminded me that some journeys don’t require a new beginning.
They simply ask us to return.
