This is why I love music….

I love how music has the power to bring us together, especially in the toughest moments. When things feel heavy, when the dark feels at its darkest and I’m close to giving up, all I have to do is look at the horn sitting next to me, pick it up, and let my emotions sing.

I’m blessed to meet people through music. Blessed to have real conversations about it. Blessed to help others find their own path within it. As a performer, educator, and consultant, this is the work and the purpose.

As long as I have breath, I’ll have music. And when it’s all said and done, I hope I leave a few good notes behind 🎺🎶

Do you know what today is? It’s our Anniversary! Today BGA celebrates 16 Sweet Years of music education. What a journey! It has been our honor and pleasure to foster today’s and tomorrow’s musicians, singers, music educators, recording artists, actors, music producers, songwriters, and worship leaders. We currently teach over 300 students every week, which include 122 students at hour home offices in Henrico and Chesterfield Counties, over 200 students in Henrico County Public Schools, and virtual students from New York to Florida. And we do this with a small hand of exceptionally skilled, talented, and dedicated staff: Christian Bolar, David McCoy, Jarius Wilson, AJ Harris Jr., Edward Sanders Jr., Jonathan Van Nest, Terahn Day, and Branden Anderson. Our CEO Branden Anderson, and COO Sharon Anderson, ensure that each student is given the chance to become the best they can be. BGA is truly a place of possibility! To every student, parent, staff member, volunteer and/or sponsor that has ever been a part of our history, we are forever grateful to you. Thank you for believing in us. Cheers to 16 years!🥂#bgaschoolofmusic #cheersto16years #sweet16 #anniversary

Ive been told no… this isnt what were looking for… or just didn’t hear nothing at all… people have said my beats were wack or questioned how ive got placements or obtained my success. -> nothing but #Hardwork #consistency #Relationships

Ive been at this music thing for a long time… Ive had big placements… Ive won talent shows… performed in front of thousands as an artist… recorded and engineered some of the world’s biggest artists…. Ive mentored and managed artist… I even ran a label for some time!
#Ilovemusic

Ive been signed … grabbed a pub deal… its truly been a rollercoaster!!

The cool thing is I still have many of the relationships Ive built over the years and its all love no matter what! Be a great human being and everything will fall in line
