✨ HELP KEEP POETIC PATHWAYS IN MOTION ✨

Poetic Pathways is now accepting donations to help us continue creating spaces where poetry, art, and community can meet.

Your support helps us:

📖 Keep our independent zines alive and accessible
🏆 Continue our annual poetry contest
🏠 Build our upcoming Poetic Pathways Residency Program
🤎 Create opportunities for writers and artists to share their work, gather, and be seen

Poetic Pathways has always been about more than publishing poems. It is about building pathways for voices that deserve room, resources, and community.

Today reminded me why I believe so deeply in the power of community, poetry, and making space for our stories. ❤️

Thank you to every contributor who trusted Poetic Pathways with your words and helped bring this issue of Bronx Vibes to life. Hearing your work spoken aloud today gave the pages another kind of heartbeat.

And thank you to everyone who came out to support today’s zine launch. You listened. You celebrated. You purchased zines. You showed our writers that their stories matter.

There is something powerful about watching a publication move from an idea, to a page, to a room full of people gathered around language.

This is what Poetic Pathways is about: creating spaces where our stories are written, witnessed, and remembered.

Thank you for building this with me. 🌺📖 Kaypoema #poeticpathwaysink #bronx #poets #community by @poeticpathwaysink

I’ve never felt free.

Not in the way the word is often spoken. As a Black woman, a mother, an artist, and an immigrant, I know that freedom is more than the absence of chains. Freedom, for many Black women, mothers, immigrants, and artists, is not simply the absence of chains but the ability to rest, create, imagine, and exist without carrying the weight of survival.

Juneteenth reminds us that liberation can be delayed, but it cannot be denied. It reminds us that truth arrives, even when power tries to keep it hidden. It reminds us that our ancestors survived impossible things so that we might stand here today and call ourselves whole.

May we continue their work, protect their stories and become the freedom they imagined.
