Leaves are falling, points are flying. 🍁 Name a better feeling than turning credit card points into Hawaii flights and a free Southern Utah hotel stay... I’ll wait. 😉 Travel hacking my way through October, with a little hiking, BYU football, and Halloween fun mixed in. October really outdid itself! 🎃🍂 #travelmore #travelpoints #october #creditcardrewards by @pointsbyrosie
Are you interested in going to Universal in Orlando but without the crowds? 🤫✨ If you want to experience the parks without the crowds, you need to know about this exclusive night event. If you hate waiting in long lines and love unlimited food, the @orlandoinformer Meetup needs to be on your radar. We have attended a meetup twice now, and it completely spoiled me for regular park days. Here is exactly why it is a total game-changer: * Walk-on wait times: Popular rides have practically zero lines. * Unlimited food: Bottomless snacks, meals, and drinks are completely included. * Empty parks: You get to experience Universal Orlando Resort with a fraction of the usual daytime crowds. 🚨 Major heads-up: If you want to experience this for yourself, tickets are surprisingly still available for the upcoming December dates! Comment “MEETUP” below if you want the details, or let me know if you’re planning to go this December! 👇 #OIMeetup #OrlandoInformer #UniversalOrlando #UniversalStudios #IslandsOfAdventure by @pointsbyrosie
Forget actual haunted houses—the real jump scares happen right inside our loyalty accounts. 🏚️💳 There is nothing worse than waiting days for a points transfer while watching award space vanish, or finding out your friend didn’t use your referral link. Realizing you left thousands of points on the table is a true travel horror story. 🎃 #PointsAndMiles #TravelHacking #AwardTravel #CreditCardRewards #TravelPoints by @pointsbyrosie
The rules for visiting the Trevi Fountain have changed, and it is no longer always free to visit! 🚨 If Rome is in your future, bookmark this guide for a stress-free visit: ⏰ The Perfect Window: Aim to visit between 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM, right before you head to the Pantheon. Going early guarantees thinner crowds and perfect morning light. Note that people show up as early as 5:00 AM, so you won’t have the place entirely to yourself, but this is your best shot! 💶 The Entry Fee: Viewing from the upper square is entirely free. However, walking down the steps to the water’s edge carries a €2 daily entry fee for non-resident tourists between 9:00 AM and 10:00 PM. Going early means you get down to the water for FREE! 🧼 The Cleaning Schedule: Do not go on Monday or Friday mornings! The fountain is turned completely off for routine cleaning until 11:30 AM. Also, every other Monday, the fountain is completely drained for a deeper cleaning, meaning you’ll see a dry monument for even longer! 🚫 Strict Rules: Security is strict under this managed access system. Sitting on the marble edges, eating on the monument steps, and entering the fountain water are absolutely prohibited. 🕵️‍♂️ Pickpocket Warning: Just remember that in large crowds you have to be especially cautious about pickpockets! Keep your valuables secure and stay alert. 🪙 The Game Plan & Legend: According to legend, there are 3 key reasons to toss a coin into the Trevi. Local lore states doing so brings you back to Rome again someday. If you toss a second, you’ll fall in love with a Roman, and a third means you’ll marry them! Have your coin ready before you enter the viewing zone and decide who is taking the photos in advance to beat the stress. Throw with your right hand over your left shoulder with your back turned. All coins are donated to charity! ❤️ Tag your favorite travel partner below! 👇 #trevifountain #italytraveltips #rometravel #romeitinerary #italyguide by @pointsbyrosie
Stop scrolling and start packing, because this is one of the cheapest ways to get to Europe this winter! ✈️🇬🇧 Virgin Atlantic has wide-open award space for February 2027, and when you pair it with the current Capital One transfer bonus, the point requirements drop to next to nothing. The Math: * JFK to London: 6,000 Virgin points = Transfer just 5,000 Capital One miles * LAS/LAX to London: 9,000 Virgin points = Transfer just 7,000 Capital One miles
(Note: Taxes and fees apply, but at these point rates, it’s an absolute steal!) How to book it: 1. Look up “Virgin Reward Seat Checker” 2. Enter your departure city, London as the destination. 3. Use the calendar view to quickly map out available dates—look for the little red ticket icons to score the best rates. 4. Log into your Capital One portal, transfer your miles to Virgin Atlantic with the 30% bonus, and book! 5. Or transfer points to Virgin Atlantic at a 1:1 ratio from Chase Ultimate Rewards, Amex membership rewards, Citi Thank you rewards, Bilt rewards, or Wells Fargo rewards. The fastest way to fail at travel points is waiting until you feel like an expert to get started. ❌ The truth? The point game changes constantly. Banks update rules, transfer partners shift, and offers change every week. Trying to memorize it all before opening your first card will just keep you grounded. You don’t need to know everything. You just need a destination. 🗺️ 1. Pick ONE trip you want to take next year. 2. Find ONE card with a strong welcome bonus that matches that goal. 3. Earn the bonus and make your first booking. 4. The moment you see $0.00 at checkout for a flight or hotel room, everything clicks. You’ll learn the rest as you go. Ready to cross off that first bucket list trip without the overwhelm? Massive news for anyone who wants to travel for next to nothing! ✈️🔥 Southwest just dropped huge elevated welcome offers on their personal cards. If you pair one of these with a business card right now, you can lock in the legendary Companion Pass and fly buy one get one free ALL THROUGH 2027. But you have to move fast. Starting January 1, 2027, Southwest is changing the rules, and credit card welcome bonuses will NO LONGER count toward earning the pass. This is officially your last chance ever to get it the easy way. 👇 Comment SOUTHWEST below and I’ll send you my free Southwest companion pass guide so you can grab it before the deadline! #travelpoints #travelmore #awardtravel #companionpass #travelhacks by @pointsbyrosie
That awkward 30-minute flight schedule adjustment email from Southwest is secretly the best notification you can get. 🤫👇 If you look up the official rules, it states that you are only eligible for a free flight change if Southwest adjusts your domestic schedule by 3+ hours (or 6+ hours for international flights). But in reality? The automated system is often way more generous than the fine print. Our flight was only changed by about 30 minutes, but it still completely unlocked the “Free Change” option in our account. Instead of just accepting the minor shift, we used it to completely overhaul our itinerary. We were originally stuck on a brutal travel day that was going to take over 12 hours. Thanks to that tiny 30 minute tweak, the system let us swap to a much better route that dropped our total travel day down to just 9 hours—with zero fees, zero fare differences, and no upcharges. Next time you get a “schedule update” email from Southwest, don’t just delete it because it’s a small change. Log into your app, click “Change Flight,” and see if the system has waived the fees for you anyway. You might just turn a minor annoyance into a massive travel day upgrade. Drop a ✈️ if you’re going to start checking your schedule change emails closer! #flightchanges #travelpoints #travelhacks #southwestair by @pointsbyrosie
Stop booking your travel through credit card portals! 🛑 If you want to get 2x, 3x, or even 5x the value out of your credit card points, you need to learn how to transfer them directly to travel partners. Portals usually lock you into a fixed value (like 1 to 1.5 cents per point). But when you transfer your Chase points directly to airlines or hotels, you unlock the ability to book flights and hotel stays for a fraction of the points. The process can feel intimidating the first time, but it takes less than 5 minutes. Here is exactly how to do it: 1️⃣ Find the Partner: Log into your Chase account, head to your rewards dashboard, and select “Transfer to Travel Partners.” 2️⃣ Link Your Accounts: Choose your airline or hotel loyalty program (like World of Hyatt, Southwest, or British Airways) and enter your member details. The names on both accounts must match exactly! 3️⃣ Confirm Availability First: Never move points on a whim. Search the airline or hotel site first to make sure the exact flight or room you want is available for award booking. 4️⃣ Make the Transfer: Enter the number of points you want to move (usually in blocks of 1,000) and hit submit. 🔥 Transfers are a one-way street. Once you move Chase points to a partner program, you cannot move them back to Chase. Always double-check your dates and availability before clicking confirm! Most transfers are completely instant, meaning you can book your dream trip seconds after the points hit your loyalty account. ✈️ Ready to stop leaving free travel on the table?
