very special post for this dear project called ‘the choir of dissonance’ by @_brahimtall_

during the last six months i had the honour of composing music for this piece, an audio installation made up of 19 different audio speakers with individual voices that all together form a choir, moving around in waves of sound throughout the space – an incredible concept by brahim, echoing his deeply interesting research practice, the voices sing in harmony, then dissonance, then let go of all structure and dive into chaos, and then slowly return to a new harmony, and it was such a joyful challenge to compose such a thing and collaborate with everyone involved i’m still so excited about it <3

thank you brahim for inviting me into this, i had a wonderful time working with you, your ambitious ideas and the ways in which you research, create, collaborate, connect, guide, work hard and persevere are endlessly inspiring – we started working together on this project in 2022 when it first took the shape of a live performance, i’m touched to see your work transform and so greatful to get to contribute <3

also big hearts to the lovely @duboisdavid_ who did the audio design and the energetic @laurevanrijckeghem guardian angel at @m.leuven
