Going n̶o̶w̶h̶e̶r̶e̶, EVERYWHERE, very slowly 🐌

When you look at a travel route from afar, it often looks like one long line, with a few stops along the way 🗺️

But zoom in really, really close on our @polarsteps map… and the story changes 😜

You start seeing the places where we stayed for weeks or months ⏳
The roads we kept coming back to 🛣️
The spots we clearly loved 🫶
The little loops around places we wanted to explore properly 👀

And when we stay somewhere for long enough, our tracking eventually turns into a giant scribble 😂

Not just passing through a place -> Actually living there 🏠

This carousel shows 5 examples, but there are many more hidden across our journey.

Today, our @polarsteps journey has reached 1,892 days, 554 steps and more than 11,000 photos 🤯📸📍

Come zoom in on the whole story and discover all the places where we slowed down, got curious, stayed longer and simply… lived.

Move. Stop. Explore. Stay. Infuse. Repeat. ✌️

And you, what’s your travel rhythm? Always moving, or staying longer? Let us know in the comment 👇

Matt hiked all three loops of Luxembourg’s Mullerthal Trail and stopped to sketch its best bits. Here’s what each route offers to help you plan your own hike, plus some paintings and drawings made outdoors on the trail.

See the full story at the link in our bio.

Special thanks to @visit_luxembourg for the collaboration.

Before Falkor, there was a tandem 🚲

Back in 2015–2016, we spent 326 days and 22,000 km sailing across the Atlantic, crossing South America, exploring Brazil and riding our tandem through Colombia 🤩

At that time, we didn’t “live track” our journey but now, the whole adventure is saved on @polarsteps and most of all on a beautiful printed book 📖 filled with the photos, texts, maps, places and memories from those 326 days 🫶

It’s currently sitting in our parents’ library… because, well, we don’t actually have a home 😂 Thanks mom & dad 🫶

Your journeys deserve more than a camera roll.

Turn your next or previous journey into a photo book 🌍📖
