My grandfather on Sunday mornings. To fetch the morning paper, he walked just a few steps from the house, but he was always dressed in his finest suit. An effortless, timeless elegance.
To me, at eight years old, he was an absolute icon: he had the answer to every question, could fix any broken object, and felt entirely invincible.

When Meraviglioso was being created—initially inspired by Domenico Modugno's timeless spirit—my mind immediately drifted back to him. To that feeling of quiet strength, comforting warmth, and everyday grace.

Meraviglioso is a tribute to that authentic elegance.

An intense yet perfectly balanced fragrance that wraps around you like a familiar embrace, anchored by the grounded presence of someone who knows exactly who they are.

To create this fragrance, we drew inspiration from the magnetic contrasts of Dave Gahan, the iconic frontman of Depeche Mode. An artist who is simultaneously an impeccable gentleman and a wild force of nature.

Elegance — A deep bouquet of purple flowers: lavender, violet, and iris.

The Wild Side — A dense, sensual, visceral leather accord.

Spirituality — Somali incense and olibanum resinoid echoing the sacred.

The Sin — Fig leaf, the forbidden fruit of Eden.

There are fragrances you wear and fragrances that tell the story of a storm.

Landfall is the first gourmand fragrance from Pollini Profumi, created entirely by Manfredi Gaetano. But don’t expect the usual sweetness: it is an olfactory work that straddles the line between memory, downfall and rebirth.

The inspiration comes from Ezio Bosso’s First Symphony, ‘Oceans’. There, the ocean is not just water, but represents every obstacle that life places before us. Landfall is the safe harbour after the storm, the meeting point between nostalgia for a fading Central European past and the strength of a new beginning.

Imagine strolling through Trieste, home to the world’s finest coffee and the most refined Austro-Hungarian pastries.
