Some moments are not planned… they simply find you. ✨

As I do every evening, I was walking up towards Panagia with my tour — a path I’ve walked countless times, yet somehow it always has something new to give me.

And there, along the way, I happened to meet Anargyros Dekavalas, our island’s photographer — experienced, incredibly talented, and above all, gifted with that special eye that can recognize a beautiful moment before you even realize it yourself.

He raised his camera and captured me. Just like that. Completely unexpectedly.

And he gave me an image that, to me, is much more than just a beautiful photograph. It is a little piece of my life in Folegandros — on the path to Panagia, doing what I love, on an island that will always be part of my heart.

Anargyros, thank you so much for this beautiful, spontaneous moment, and for capturing it forever through your lens. ❤️

What a beautiful season 2026 has been! ✨

So many walks, stories, sunsets, smiles and wonderful people from all around the world. Thank you to everyone who joined me and discovered Folegandros through its history, culture and hidden corners.

As the 2026 season slowly comes to an end, I’m already looking forward to 2027 and to welcoming many more of you to my island!

Το τελευταίο μου tour για τη σεζόν του 2026 δεν θα μπορούσε να κλείσει με πιο όμορφο τρόπο.

Σήμερα, 1η Οκτωβρίου, είχα τη μεγάλη τιμή να ξεναγήσω τους μαθητές και τους εκπαιδευτικούς του Γυμνασίου και Λυκείου Φολεγάνδρου και να μοιραστώ μαζί τους την ιστορία, τον πολιτισμό και τις μικρές και μεγάλες ιστορίες του τόπου μας.

Ήταν ένα εξαιρετικό κοινό, μικροί και μεγάλοι, με ενδιαφέρον, προσοχή, ερωτήσεις και διάθεση να γνωρίσουν ακόμη καλύτερα τη Φολέγανδρο.

Για μένα αυτή η ξενάγηση είχε ιδιαίτερη σημασία. Είναι μεγάλη χαρά να μιλάς για έναν τόπο που αγαπάς, αλλά ακόμη μεγαλύτερη όταν απέναντί σου βρίσκονται τα νέα παιδιά αυτού του τόπου.

Ένα πραγματικά ξεχωριστό κλείσιμο για τα Poly’s Guided Tours 2026.

Σας ευχαριστώ όλους για τη σημερινή εμπειρία. Ραντεβού το 2027!

Maybe the last tour of the season… or maybe not. 😊

Today felt a little special.

A lovely couple from Scotland, a writer from England, beautiful conversations, stories, history, laughter… and that feeling that I could have kept talking for hours.

After a long and busy season, I was surprised by how much energy and joy I still had to share. And I think that says everything about how much I love what I do.

Every tour is different because every person brings something different to it. Today was one of those tours I truly enjoyed from beginning to end.

If this was my last tour of the season, it was a beautiful way to finish. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who walked with me through Folegandros this year, listened to its stories, asked questions, laughed with me and saw my island through my eyes.

Τερμάτισα! Και αυτό είναι που έχει σημασία.

Για δεύτερη συνεχόμενη χρονιά κατάφερα να πάρω μέρος στο Challenge Run Folegandros και νιώθω πραγματικά περήφανη. Όχι για τη θέση, ούτε για τον χρόνο μου, αλλά γιατί ήμουν εκεί. Γιατί μέσα στην κούραση, στη δουλειά και στην ένταση της καθημερινότητας, βρήκα τη δύναμη να σταθώ ξανά στη γραμμή της εκκίνησης και —το σημαντικότερο— να φτάσω μέχρι τη γραμμή του τερματισμού.

Η αγάπη, ο ενθουσιασμός και η ενέργεια του κόσμου μάς δίνουν δύναμη που δεν ξέραμε ότι είχαμε. Σήμερα η Φολέγανδρος ήταν γεμάτη χαμόγελα, χειροκροτήματα και όμορφα συναισθήματα. 💙

Εύχομαι αυτός ο αγώνας να γίνει θεσμός και να συνεχίσει κάθε χρόνο να γεμίζει το νησί μας ζωή, ανθρώπους και όμορφες στιγμές.

Ραντεβού στην εκκίνηση και του χρόνου! 🏃‍♀️🏁

Υπάρχουν αθλητές. Υπάρχουν πρωταθλητές. Και υπάρχουν άνθρωποι που γράφουν ιστορία.

Σήμερα είχα τη μοναδική τιμή να συναντήσω στη Φολέγανδρο τον Γιάννη Κούρο — έναν ζωντανό θρύλο του παγκόσμιου αθλητισμού και του υπερμαραθωνίου. 🇬🇷

Τέσσερις φορές νικητής του Σπάρταθλον, κάτοχος ιστορικών παγκόσμιων ρεκόρ και ένας άνθρωπος που απέδειξε ότι τα όρια του ανθρώπου βρίσκονται πολύ πιο μακριά απ’ όσο πιστεύουμε.

Η παρουσία του στη Φολέγανδρο για τον αυριανό αγώνα δίνει μια ξεχωριστή αξία σε αυτή τη διοργάνωση. Γιατί όταν δίπλα σου βρίσκεται ένας άνθρωπος που έχει γράψει ιστορία με κάθε του χιλιόμετρο, δεν μπορείς παρά να νιώσεις έμπνευση.

Μεγάλη τιμή, μεγάλη συγκίνηση και μια φωτογραφία που θα κρατήσω για πάντα.

Καλώς ήρθες στη Φολέγανδρο, Γιάννη Κούρο. 🏃‍♂️🇬🇷
Ο θρύλος συναντά το νησί μας.

Another beautiful evening in Folegandros. ✨

A wonderful group, great conversations, stories along the way… and the perfect sunset to end our tour. 🌅

Different places, different lives, all meeting for a few hours on this little Cycladic island. These are the moments that make every tour special.

Some tours are about history, places and stories.

And some tours become a story of their own.

Today I had the privilege of meeting Margarita, 81 years young, who travelled all the way from Australia to Folegandros, together with her dear friend Ross.

She walked through the streets of Chora, climbed all the way up to Panagia, and reminded me that age is only a number when your heart is still curious about the world.

But what touched me most was not how far she walked. It was the beautiful friendship between Margarita and Ross — the way they cared for each other, helped each other and simply enjoyed being together.

Along the way, we talked about our lives, our experiences, the years that pass and the things that truly matter.

By the end, it didn’t feel like I had simply guided them around my island. It felt as though, for a few hours, we had shared a little piece of life together.

Today Margarita reminded me:
Keep going.
Keep travelling.
Keep being curious.
Keep the people you love close.
And never stop enjoying this beautiful journey called life.

Thank you, Margarita and Ross, for a tour I will carry in my heart. ❤️

Today I had the pleasure of exploring Folegandros with three wonderful people — one lovely traveler all the way from Tasmania, Australia 🇦🇺 and a beautiful couple from Ireland 🇮🇪.

Such a warm, fun and easy-going group. We walked, talked, laughed, shared stories and enjoyed the beauty of Folegandros together. 🤍

Some mornings are worth making an exception for. ☀️💙

Today I had the pleasure of spending a beautiful morning with Leah & JD a wonderful couple from New York. And although I don’t usually offer morning tours, this one turned into something truly special.

We explored Folegandros by car, crossing the island from one side to the other, discovering hidden corners, beautiful views, little villages and stories along the way — experiencing the island beyond the usual paths.

And there’s more to come… 🎥
Leah & JD were filming throughout our journey, so soon I’ll be able to share Folegandros — and my tour — through their eyes.
