Pontone Gallery is delighted to present LEGENDS IN HIGHER PLACES, an exhibition of paintings by British artist Chris Rivers. @chrisriversart

Drawing on Rivers’ iconic foundational series, Legends in Higher Places brings together familiar celestial creatures and tumbling astronauts amid pulsating clouds of intense, vaporous colour. Featuring the artist’s first cherub editions in five years, the collection brings together some of Chris Rivers’ most iconic motifs and imagery.

To mark ten years of painting, Chris Rivers is giving away 12 original paintings. The artist has created 12 new oils on paper, each drawing on motifs from his upcoming print collection, with one original painting hidden inside each of the 12 print releases.

With each new edition limited to just 20, every collector has a 1-in-20 chance of discovering a hidden original, valued at $4,000, alongside their new print.

Pontone Gallery is delighted to present VOLUMI, an exhibition of paintings by Italian artist Massimo Giannoni. @massimogiannoni_artist

Exploring bookshops, libraries and museums as spaces of knowledge and discovery, Giannoni paints densely packed interiors filled with books, manuscripts and architectural details. His richly worked oil paintings are built through expressive impasto and diffuse light, transforming these spaces into atmospheric and almost sacred environments.

Strikingly unpopulated, the paintings evoke both the melancholy of absence and the enduring presence of knowledge, inviting us to explore the quiet worlds held within these spaces.

Bringing together celestial creatures, tumbling astronauts and pulsating clouds of vivid colour, the exhibition revisits Rivers’ iconic imagery and introduces his first cherub editions in five years.

To mark the final celebration of ten years of painting, Chris Rivers is giving away 12 original paintings. Chris has created 12 new oils on paper, each drawing on motifs from his upcoming print collection and he will be hiding them inside 12 print tubes - one original placed in each of the 12 releases. With every new edition limited to 20, each collector has a 1-in-20 chance of finding a hidden original valuded at $4,000, alongside their new print.

Pontone Gallery is delighted to present Venus Rising, an exhibition of new paintings by Kyle Barnes. @kylebarnesartist

Exploring the female figure through themes of immersion, transformation, and rebirth, Barnes presents large-scale, realistically rendered heads suspended against vivid colour-field backgrounds and coated in viscous liquid. Meticulously observed, these works connect the ritual symbolism of liquid with the transformative materiality of oil paint, evoking a moment of becoming reminiscent of Botticelli’s Venus emerging from the sea.
