#SavannahGrass makes it 2️⃣ for 2️⃣ on #tinydesk for me and while that’s a remarkable achievement for the songs I’ve written and produced, it’s a reminder more-so of how big our music already is in its raw state.

Savannah Grass was written and produced in a room not too different from this space; surrounded by books 📚 office supplies 🗂️ and desks (of course), supporting music equipment 🎹 of various types and as I reflect on the power of song, I cannot for a moment describe what it feels like to be where I am today, witnessing yet another song I’ve made, feature on @nprmusic #TinyDesk

It’s also a great honour to see the songs of my peers been given an epic light as well in this masterfully crafted set by @kesthebandofficial

Congratulations 🥳 🥂 to the E N T I R E team (seen & unseen), as they’ve also been blessed by their gifts to be able to produce such an encapsulating performance 🎭 of the band’s ethos.
This is no small feat.

You can view the full performance on YouTube.

I’m further humbled by this awesome occurrence in my life and I
Give Thanks 🤲🏾

This is what happens when culture meets global recognition 🌟 #FastWine isn’t just a song— it’s a testament that love conquers all🫶🏾✨ From its creation in studio, to being performed at The White House, Essence Festival, Barclays Center, the O2 arena, the Kennedy Center & countless stadiums 🏟️ worldwide, to now @nprmusic ‘s iconic tiny desk concert series🤯 It’s MIND-BOGGLING to see how this anthem continues to transcend borders! 😭

I’m Beyond Grateful to The King Of Soca @machelmontano @kc_kasey @precisionprod @davekutchnyc the entire @monkmusicgroup the MONK BAND + EVERYONE who believed in the vision and took it even further than we could’ve imagined.

Together, we’ve taken the vibrant spirit of Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 to the WORLD🌍 yet again🏌🏾‍♂️✨ I still cannot believe this is my life🥹 my music is on tiny desk allyuh‼️😭 talk to meh nice 😎

It’s really awesome to see both @machelmontano & @kesthebandofficial
Represent Our Caribbean Culture
@essencefest ‼️

I’ve contributed multiple songs to their catalogues which were performed on-stage and it’s truly humbling and encouraging as a fellow songwriter and music producer from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹

They’ve both shaped the sound we enjoy today and it’s an honour to have helped in the joy ‼️

I love my job. Thank you Gentlemen 🤲🏾🇹🇹

This year I celebrate my first decade in the Music Industry (counting from my emergence on the scene in 2014)

2 Road March + Soca Monarch Titles, Calypso Of The Year Award, Soul Train Award , Grammy®Nomination and Songwriter Of The Year Award, Billboard®-charting albums and many other accomplishments later, I still think about the goals I have yet achieved, with great enthusiasm 😌🫶🏾

To be named as a National 2024 #40under40 award recipient by @mydnstt @fortyunder40 means the world to me, as I too, still wonder if I’ve impacted as much as I sought out to ten years ago.

I thank @drgadsbydolly @fostercummings @mydnstt and all of our great local leaders who do the work to inspire this kind of programme which continues today.
