One thing I always try to do every Crop Over season is remember my roots — our roots as Bajans. I believe it’s important to preserve the sounds, stories and culture that make us who we are, and every year I challenge myself to contribute something authentic that keeps our flag flying high.

Twenty years ago, a young girl got the opportunity to stand on stage beside an icon. Long before I understood the business, before I had my own songs, before I knew who I would become as an artist, Peter Ram welcomed me into the world of soca.

He didn’t just teach me songs. He showed me how to entertain. How to command a stage. How to engage a crowd. How to develop personality. How to represent Barbados with pride. In many ways, he became my soca father, and for that I will always be grateful.

Today, twenty years later, sharing a record with him feels like a full-circle moment. It’s a reminder that sometimes the seeds planted in our childhood grow into opportunities we could never imagine.

Thank you, @realpeterram , for the lessons, the guidance and the example you’ve set for generations of Barbadian artists. Your impact on our culture is undeniable.

Special thanks as well to Mikey Hulsmeier and Nebby on production, and @popartshaw for bringing a gem of a song to my ears a few months ago lol. Thank you for helping us create something that feels deeply rooted in who we are as Bajans and for bringing that traditional Barbadian sound to life.

This one is for the culture.
This one is for Barbados.
And this one is for every young artist who dreams of one day sharing a stage with the people they look up to.

20 years later… here we are. 🇧🇧❤️
Only Vibes to Declare coming realllllll soon 🥹

Proud to announce that I’ve been Nominated for a 2026 Caribbean Music Award 🏆 In the “Caribbean Fusion Artist Of The Year” category🥇 For years I’ve been known for being a genre-bending artist working with dope producers to cultivate a fresh sound that’s sonically bringing different worlds together so being recognized for that specifically is a blessing and means a lot to me on this journey. Asking my people to tap in and go vote for me. Hit the link in my bio to vote so that we can bring this one home 🙏🏾 love allyuh 🫶🏾✨
