Woodlands Claypot Prawn 🦐
First charcoal claypot prawn in Singapore.

Food is served in traditional claypot over charcoal to enhance the deep flavours. Their specialty prawn broth is rich and flavourful, prawn lovers would love this. The soup comes with large tiger prawns, and we can order more prawns to add on. There are a variety of ingredients to choose from, such as fish roe fortune bag and empress clam. Free-flow soup and sauces, gloves provided, and free parking at Woodlands branch.

Woodlands Claypot Prawn has two outlets in Woodlands and Tampines. I went to their Tampines new branch, which is opposite Ikea Tampines.

Experiencing Asia's tallest Slingshot at @slingshotgx5 ! 💫✨️
The ride gives adrenaline rush and riders get a glimpse of the beautiful scenery in the heart of Singapore. 😍 It is located in Clarke Quay, tickets are priced at $45 for adults and $35 for youths. The humorous staffs helped calm our nerves before the ride. 😂
Thereafter, chill for a drink at Octopas bar. 🍸 @octopusbyelmesa is located just beside the Slingshot. The live band performers in Octopas were friendly and came to chat with us while asking for song request before they started performing.

Hair & Makeup for Mediacorp Channel 5's Crime Watch / 绳之以法 🚔🚨👮‍♂️

Being part of the production, experiencing first-hand it take hours for a short episode to be produced. 🎥🎬📺 Locations rental, props setup, fresh-face casts scouting, costume design, hair&makeup, at least 10 crew members following the shoot (director/AP/film/sound/light/hair&makeup/SPF moderator), ... Much effort for each episode, go watch it! ❤️

TGYN's Halloween 2026! 🎃👻

Activity booths and haunted house. 👻🏠 The haunted house was Circus & Hospital theme, having characters such as clown/mime/fortune-teller and surgeon/patient. 🤡🔮👩‍⚕️😷

35 scare actors and 1 MUA, 1+ hour. It was a mad rush and first time doing halloween/gore makeup. Just a quick makeup, towards the end even quicker and some actors did on their own then I touchup. 🎨🖌

Us + the Scentopia gift bag, ready to make something that smells like us 🛍️✨

With 200 scent oils, countless perfume combinations, and a personality quiz, Scentopia helped us discover our scent preference and create our signature fragrance. We explored citrus, fresh, floral, woody and oriental scent rooms, chose 20 different oils, and bottled our own 100ml perfume — engraved with Singapore icons and finished with the sweetest details. Overall a really good sensory experience!

P.S. Their Singapore signature scent wall is a lovely bonus — I spotted Singapore Girl, Vanda Miss Orchid and Raffles Heritage while I was there. 🌺

Before we even stepped inside, we had to stop at the butterfly sculpture in front of the Scentopia sign. 🦋
Insta-worthy? Absolutely.

Today’s theme: making a Singapore orchid scent based on our personalities 🌺 And the warm welcome when we walked in? Immediate good vibes.

The design of 100ml bottle we got to fill: engraved with Merlion, Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay and Singapore Flyer around a Chinese round pattern; “Scentopia” on the back. Exquisite, classy, timeless. 🇸🇬

Choosing 20 preferred scents from 200 oils. Categories: citrus (fruits), fresh (leaves), floral (flowers), woody (roots) and oriental (seeds/spices). Our personality test guided how each category can represent different stages of life. In each room, there are male/female/unisex scent options, and you’re not limited to your own gender.

Testing one scent at a time, notepad in hand. Serious business (but make it smell good). 👍

When you find a good one,
you must make your friend smell it too. 👯‍♀️

I pulled out a wall panel that links scents to real-life experiences like how we handle stress. In each room, the male side has prompts like “my ideal food”, “my one true love”, “my love language”, “my issues and stress”, “my ideal work” and “my way to relax”; the female side has more options centred on how the scent itself smells.

Found the floral throne 🌸 “Which kind of floral are you?” — and yes, I had to show them legs!

Touching the hanging flowers in the floral room, where the wall says: “I am kind, I am F.L.O.R.A.L. (Friendly, Loving, Optimistic, Reachabl by @poppikyo

Rainforest Wild Adventure & Bird Paradise 🐒🌳🐦

First time visiting after the Mandai parks revamped! 🤩 There are activity sheets to collect station stamps in both parks! 📝 (We didn't complete though, hah! 🤭)

🌳Rainforest (West)
Interesting forest setting for active adventurers to set foot on: huge river boulders, fake fallen log, netted bridges, etc. So Instagram-worthy! 📸 AR-venture zones for people to welfie with the featured animals! 🐯 Sound of running water is therapeutic, and cooling mist machines everywhere to beat the heat! 💦 The whole park is echoing with Siamangs' calls. 🐒 And super thankful to the reliable staffs to keep the monkeys away from guests! 🥺
Downside: The adventure route can be quite challenging/dangerous, animal stations are far apart, we could have missed out some animals if the staffs weren't stationed there to tell us.

🐦Bird Paradise
Sooo many birds of different sizes, colours, and patterns! 🌈 We zoom into the avian presentations: Predators on Wings (hunters) and Wings of the World (exotic or colourful). Love that they have other mini shows such as the feeding session where the staff gathered all the birds and humans, to feed the birds while introducing the different nearby birds. It's cute they have an area where they classified birds into colours, so we walk into a sea of pink but there are different species amongst them! 💗
Downside: Pink birds area was smelly (we gave up whatever's beyond), unneccessary long spiral paths.
