Us + the Scentopia gift bag, ready to make something that smells like us 🛍️✨

With 200 scent oils, countless perfume combinations, and a personality quiz, Scentopia helped us discover our scent preference and create our signature fragrance. We explored citrus, fresh, floral, woody and oriental scent rooms, chose 20 different oils, and bottled our own 100ml perfume — engraved with Singapore icons and finished with the sweetest details. Overall a really good sensory experience!

P.S. Their Singapore signature scent wall is a lovely bonus — I spotted Singapore Girl, Vanda Miss Orchid and Raffles Heritage while I was there. 🌺

Before we even stepped inside, we had to stop at the butterfly sculpture in front of the Scentopia sign. 🦋
Insta-worthy? Absolutely.

Today’s theme: making a Singapore orchid scent based on our personalities 🌺 And the warm welcome when we walked in? Immediate good vibes.

The design of 100ml bottle we got to fill: engraved with Merlion, Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay and Singapore Flyer around a Chinese round pattern; “Scentopia” on the back. Exquisite, classy, timeless. 🇸🇬

Choosing 20 preferred scents from 200 oils. Categories: citrus (fruits), fresh (leaves), floral (flowers), woody (roots) and oriental (seeds/spices). Our personality test guided how each category can represent different stages of life. In each room, there are male/female/unisex scent options, and you’re not limited to your own gender.

Testing one scent at a time, notepad in hand. Serious business (but make it smell good). 👍

When you find a good one,
you must make your friend smell it too. 👯‍♀️

I pulled out a wall panel that links scents to real-life experiences like how we handle stress. In each room, the male side has prompts like “my ideal food”, “my one true love”, “my love language”, “my issues and stress”, “my ideal work” and “my way to relax”; the female side has more options centred on how the scent itself smells.

Found the floral throne 🌸 “Which kind of floral are you?” — and yes, I had to show them legs!

Touching the hanging flowers in the floral room, where the wall says: “I am kind, I am F.L.O.R.A.L. (Friendly, Loving, Optimistic, Reachabl

9 Aug 2026: Happy 61st Birthday, Singapore! 🇸🇬

Immersing myself in the crowd of RED & WHITE tees as we celebrate the national birthday with the community.
Enjoyed the many moments, from performances by the students to the flag-raising ceremony by The Boys’ Brigade, as we all sing the National Anthem and recite the pledge as one united people. ❤️
Manning the fringe booth making NDP paper fans, seeing the young and old enjoying their time learning a new craft that they can bring back, brings satisfaction to my day.

31 Jul 2026: Feeling emotional and filled with many nostalgic memories of Ang Mo Kio Library...
Remembering the times our mum brought us to the library to read books when we were kids and we would always be asking to go to the sandy playground opposite the library to play the swing and eat fast food meals..
To the random bus rides that passes by the library and pointing at it saying "thats AMK library!"
To me finding for a place with proper table and chair outside home to mug for the many upcoming ACCA exams...
And the times we realise "ehhh library have DIG cafe (Dinner in The Garden) and got eatigo deals, let's book and go for early dinner!"
To the recent times of me buying coffee, packing snacks and lunch and stand outside the library to eat cos I scare no one take care and my things will get moved by librarian...
I'm gonna miss this comfort area where I always pack 大包小包 to study and revise here before my many many exam attempts...
Thanks for the wonderful place and 谢谢你陪伴我的成长！

🍸 Cocktail tasting at Mr Stork

Started with the 🥒 Cucumber & Basil Martini ($22) — hands-down my favorite of the night. Super refreshing, you taste the cucumber clearly, and while the basil doesn’t kick hard, the alcohol is present but never overpowering. A solid “garden to glass” win.

🌴 Next up: Aliya ($25) — bottled tropical escape with Ceylon Arak. Slightly acidic, didn’t get much coconut, but bright and uplifting overall. A little slice of paradise, just as promised.

🍇 Purple Wave ($24) — Diplomatico rum meets ube foam. The foam is smooth and creamy without being too rich, and it complements the drink beautifully. Decadent but not heavy.

And that skyline view? Absolutely worth it.
Great night from start to finish.

360-hour aged pork & flower-cut Wagyu? This is KBBQ on another level. 🥢🔥

Had an incredible immersive dinner at @kottdon360. From the trendy neon-lit ambiance to the brass-colored grills, every detail is curated. But for me, the first sign of a truly great Korean restaurant is always the banchan.

Kott-Don 360’s free-flow banchan bar set the tone perfectly. Beyond their remarkable crunchy, sweet kimchi, every side was a hit—from the mildly sweet-spicy tteokbokki and the creamy potato salad to the refreshing pickled radish that cuts through richness. It showed a kitchen that cares about balance and quality from the very first bite, priming the palate for what was to come.

And what came next was spectacular. We feasted on their signature aged meats:
• 360-Hour Aged Black Pork Belly & Pork Neck 🐖: Thick, juicy, zero gaminess. Perfect texture.
• Aged Wagyu Brisket 🐄: Tender beyond belief, it practically melted.

The expert staff grilled everything to perfection, even checking the grill temp with a thermometer and offering us aprons to wear — true professionalism 🔥. We loved the cheesy steamed egg pull and the classic Korean drinks. 🍻

Ending the feast with free Haagen-Dazs was the perfect sweet note. 🍨 A premium, worth-it experience where every course, from the first banchan to the last bite of meat, is thoughtfully executed.

PH well-spent!
We went to the newly opened Mandai Boardwalk!
It's a scenic lakeside trail with greenery, fauna & floral.
Accompanied with some sneak view of the giraffes and close encounter with many macaques (monkeys) along the walkway.
