Pop-Ups Please is the app that lets organizers easily promote their pop-ups and lets users find them based on location & time. A @walkinpdx project.

POSTS STORIES REELS

Posting your pop-up in the app is so easy, let us show you how with our friend @smokeandyolkpdx and his upcoming pop-up: Mac and Steeze, Return of the Mac 🧀

All you need is the address, a short description, a photo, date and time, and you’re good to go! As you can see, it takes about a minute, then we approve it, and it starts showing up for people to find your pop-up. And as always, if you have any questions or need help, we’re just a DM away.

Can’t wait to see what y’all have up your sleeves and remember, the app is available nationwide! by @popups_please

morel toast returns tomorrow @malpractice.pdx. this has been another crowd pleaser.

this toast is filled with sautéed wild ramps, wild leeks, and morels over whipped nettle cashew ricotta on a toasted house-made milk bread.

its creamy, earthy, bright and delicious. one of my faves on the menu. it’s so good.

i’m excited to announce my first menu for my residency @malpractice.pdx starting this wednesday, april 15.

i will be highlighting beautiful seasonal ingredients that are available to us in the pacific northwest.

couldn’t be more ecstatic to showcase sautéed morels with wild leeks and ramps with whipped nettle cashew ricotta.

i’ll be doing a riff on tostones. instead of plantains i’ll be doing smashed potatoes with rio rojo beans and citrus salsa.

lastly, i had to do a fun take on pio quinto. normally a popular nicaraguan dessert during the holidays. it’s a corn cake soaked in a coffee rum syrup. i’ll be serving it with citrus custard and rhubarb ice cream. this dessert beautifully features a few ingredients often found in nicaraguan cuisine; corn, rum, coffee and citrus.

hope to see you at malpractice. only day this menu isn’t available this week is friday (april 17).

thank you so much for the overwhelming support over the weekend for @nectariswine and my collaboration with @veganizerpdx. we had such a good time. we can’t wait for round 2 this weekend for more wine + tapas.

we’ll continue to highlight the early spring season, and all the beautiful produce available to us.

we’re all sold out for sunday. we still have a few tickets left for monday. reserve now before they’re all gone! link in bio.

pictured is our first course; rosquillas (corn crackers), almond cheese, soft hazelnut cheese, caramelized leeks, and rhubarb. garnished with wild leeks.

the video is the final course; basque style cheesecake, flan, chocolate-hazelnut ice cream with a chocolate bark.

i’m pretty ecstatic to announce that i’ll be collaborating with @nectariswine to bring you a beautiful five course tapa style menu with mostly three dishes per course @mestizo.pdx for two weekends in a row (march 29-30, april 5-6). Beverly will be pairing each course with beautiful wines or non alcoholic drinks.

you can reserve via link in bio and check out the menu there! menu is inspired by nicaraguan and spanish cuisines.

of course, i had to bring a skewer for one of the dishes. every culture has some form of skewer, which is a beautiful way to connect people with something they’re familiar with.

although i currently do not have a picture of the skewer we’re cooking up for the pop up. i can tell you they are muronos, which are marinated overnight before they’re grilled to order. the style of skewer we chose are influenced by the moors when they ruled spain from 8th to 15th century. they didn’t eat pork at the time, so originally they were made with lamb. we will be doing ours with a mix of @otatofu tofu and soy curls.

i personally just love skewers. i can eat them everyday of the week. 🤣 so i try to squeeze them in a lot of the menus.

you can scroll through to check out the different variations of skewers i’ve done in the past with seasonal ingredients. fun fact: the first photo is from the first pop up collaboration i had with @nectariswine last year. it was served with an eggplant purée and a jimmy nardello almogrote sauce.

hope to see you at the pop up. ✌️

Today’s the day! The Machetes x Veganizer menu is available at Hey Love from March 16 to March 20, 3pm to 9pm. See you there?! 🇲🇽🌿🪩🍹

$35 for 3 delicious courses: beet tartare, mushroom tetela, and mamey sapote ice cream. You can also add on the cauliflower tinga tostada and huitlacoche & nopales machete. No tickets or reservations needed.

Stoked to collab with @machetes.pdx as we’ve been enjoying their food since one of their earliest popups back in July 2023. You might remember Diego and McKenna from our Sabor de Primavera Mexican tasting event last year, where they served a mini machete.

It’s also really special to hold this event at @heylovepdx in the @jupiterhotel as we had partnered with Doug Fir Lounge for Veganizer dinners years ago when we were just getting started with our events series.
