Say hey to Amar 👋

Amar joined the Portico crew a little over a month ago, pulling double duty as our new Assistant Brewer + bartender - so there’s a decent chance the person making your beer will also be the one serving it to you!

A Belmont native, Amar has already been getting his hands dirty in the brewhouse… pictured here following all appropriate safety protocols 🧤🥽 by @porticobrewing

Dust off the lederhosen you absolutely definitely own because Portico’s Oktoberfest returns Saturday, September 19th!

We’ve got German beer. We’ve got pretzels. We’ve got live music. We’ve got grown adults holding very heavy beers at arm’s length for glory.

🍺 Bauhaus Festbier + Hurkle Durkle Dunkel
🥨 German food specials
🎶 Live music starting at 2
💪 Two Steinholding competitions at 4 & 6pm
🩳 Lederhosen and Dirndls: deeply encouraged
💰 Entry: gloriously free

All Day. Meet you at Oktoberfest. by @porticobrewing

LEGitimately the best builds yet from Saturday’s Build Our Next LEGO tap handle competition, summer edition! We had a hot dog, surfer, lobster, baby shark actin’ up, sunflowers, the Scots take Boston, ‘Layers of a beach day,’ ‘Dizzy LEGOspie,’ ‘Olaf Gets his tropical summer vacation,’ and many more. Our winner: ‘Chillin’ on the Water - just a guy having a brew and going where the current takes him’ is now officially on the bar, now pouring the just-tapped Wabi Sabi Hybrid Ale.

Big thanks to everyone who came out and made some truly incredible tap handles and of course to our friend and LEGO-Master-Builder, Kaleb, for helping judge and advise along the way.

The winning handle is on now - pouring the just-tapped Wabi Sabi.

See you at the next one, LEGOnauts! taken in Somerville, Massachusetts by @porticobrewing
