With every crack, she feels herself becoming less human and more like the doll she was never meant to be

She grips the blade not to conquer the world, but to fight the hands that would turn her into something lifeless.

Piece by piece, her old self falls away, while she carries the remains of who she used to be.

Even as the transformation takes hold, she refuses to surrender the last living part of herself. taken in Switzerland, Schweiz by @portraitphoton

Red. Smoke. Silence.

This series turned out exactly how I imagined it:
calm, intense, and cinematic.

Swipe through to the black & white versions and tell me:
Team color or team monochrome?
And which frame is your favorite?

IPA 2026
Undertone won 1st Place at the International Photography Awards 2026 @iphotoawards in Advertising / Beauty.

Botanical Sleep also received an Honorable Mention in Fine Art Portrait.

Still can't quite believe this.
I'm incredibly happy and proud of these awards. And I especially want to give credit to Veronica, because the conceptual ideas behind both pictures were hers. Not only that, she also helped me with the color grading in post.

So be proud of yourself, Vero. These awards belong to you too.
