And that’s a wrap on PINCH & OUCH, our 7-Day Scene Work Workshop in Delhi! ❤️

Coming back to Delhi to teach after two years felt special in a way that’s difficult to put into words.

This is where I first found my way into theatre. Where so much of my journey as an actor began. And for the longest time, I’ve wanted to come back, not just to revisit a place that means so much to me, but to share some of what the years since have taught me.

And then came these seven days.

The room was alive with questions, curiosity, generosity, and a willingness to try things without necessarily knowing where they might lead. There was so much openness in the way everyone approached the work, so much enthusiasm, and so many moments that reminded me why I love doing this in the first place. It made me want to give everything I had to the room, and then somehow find a little more.

I’ve also been exploring the meeting points between Michael Chekhov’s and Sanford Meisner’s approaches to acting. How do imagination, physicality, and atmosphere meet the act of truly listening and responding to another person? What can one approach reveal about the other?

This workshop gave me another opportunity to sit with these questions, experiment, and discover alongside the actors. I came in with things I wanted to share, but I’m leaving with newer questions, unexpected discoveries, and a renewed excitement about the work. There’s still so much to investigate, so much to get wrong, and so much to stumble upon. And I think that’s one of the loveliest things about working with a craft that never quite lets you arrive.

To everyone who showed up for these seven days with such sincerity, thank you for making the room what it was.

I came back to Delhi hoping to give something back to a city that has given me so much. I’m leaving with even more affection for it, a head full of thoughts, a heart full of love, and a stomach full of chaat and kachoris.

I’ve been wanting to bring BETWEEN US to Mumbai for a while, and I’m really happy that it’s finally happening.

I’m an actor and facilitator, and a teacher trainee with the Michael Chekhov Association US (MICHA) and Michael Chekhov Europe (MCE).

BETWEEN US is a 4 -day acting workshop based on the Michael Chekhov Approach, where we’ll work with space, atmosphere, imagination, impulse, movement and relationship, and pay attention to what is actually happening in the moment.

It’s physical, imaginative and experiential. A space to move, play, listen, follow impulses, work with imagination and discover what can happen when we really experience the work.

I’m bringing this to Mumbai in association with ANATOMY OF A SCENE and I’d love to have actors and performers in the room who are curious to explore the work with me.

New Year Resolutions still have 3 months to go xD

Lately, I’ve felt that I had stopped LIVING and had been just SURVIVING for a while. This is a conscious effort towards being unhinged, crazy, light, full of life as I used to be sometime back. I’ve not danced for a while, sung for a while, travelled for fun or a vacation. Even my Instagram feed has become what I’ve turned into. Here’s to welcoming crazier times full of love, laughter and life🩷
