On your ninth anniversary,
I miss you. 🤍

Remembering Dadu (Papa)
1948-2018✨

Lemon tree.
Lemon tree.

Green lemons turning yellow,
yellow lemons falling on the ground.

After almost a decade, I finally gathered the courage to return to my favourite spot on your farm — near the lemon tree and curry leaves.

It took me this long to understand that perhaps we never really outgrow grief and loss. Grief just becomes a little smaller as we grow.

I always wondered why our lemons stayed green and tasted so different.

Now I understand.
Some things need years of love and care before they turn yellow.

Today, your lemon trees are full of yellow, juicy lemons. We share them with neighbours, friends, and everyone passing by.

The curry leaves tree is older but stronger. The five neem trees are still standing tall, giving shade. The parrots and birds are still here.

And there are two new trees now — Amrood and Jamun, planted by your grandchildren, already giving fruit.

I am reporting all this to you, Papa.
I am sure you must be happy to hear that everything is growing.

It has been eight long years since I came back here without you.

Today, sitting under the same trees, I felt that maybe you were never really gone.

You were in the shade, in the birds, in the smell of curry leaves, and in those yellow lemons falling quietly to the ground.

Your trees are doing well, Papa.
I finally came back to the lemon tree.

On your ninth anniversary,
I miss you. 🤍 by @pramilach

Reflecting on my year as a Concordia Public Scholar (2025–2026). 🌿

A PhD brings both challenges and opportunities. For me, it has often been a journey of living with uncertainty—asking questions, embracing curiosity, and searching for new ways of thinking. The Public Scholars program gave me the space to explore those questions beyond the boundaries of academia.

Looking back over the past year, I realize how much it has shaped the way I communicate my research through collaboration, research-creation, public engagement, and making knowledge more accessible beyond the university.

I feel honoured to have been part of the 2025–2026 cohort and to now join the growing community of Public Scholar alumni who have paved the way before us.

One of the things I value most about Concordia is the freedom to shape a truly interdisciplinary PhD. My journey began as a Sustainability Ambassador, followed by the Sustainability Champion Award, and becoming a Public Scholar has been another privilege along that path.

Most importantly, I’m grateful for the wonderful cohort, faculty, and team who made this experience so meaningful. Here’s to continuing to build research that connects with communities and creates impact beyond academia. ✨

Art and artists I met in 2026.
Montreal, Canada. ✨

This was the spotlight event and one of my final curations as part of the Concordia Public Scholars Program (2025–26).

One of the greatest joys of this journey was bringing together the friends, artists, makers, and community I have had the privilege to build throughout my PhD. Seeing everyone gather in one space to share, create, and celebrate made this event truly special.

I am deeply grateful for the love, generosity, and joy that surrounded this program. Here’s to the friendships we built during my Public Scholar journey, and to the many more collaborations and connections that will continue beyond it. ❤️ by @pramilach

Crafting Commons: Material | Making | Meditate ✨
What an inspiring day of conversations, creativity, and community at Concordia's Fourth Space. Bringing together artists, designers, researchers, educators, and craft practitioners from Canada, India, and the UK, we explored how making can become a space for dialogue, sustainability, care, and collective learning.

It was an honour to organize and co-moderate this symposium with fellow PhD scholar @meghachauhanm alongside an incredible panel featuring Sowparnika Balaswaminathan, @madan4meena, @rachelmachenry @studio_juhi, @kathleen.sheila.vaughan, @pragya57 @atelierb_amarie, @tuliatella (Amruthalakshmi Rajagopalan), @nadia.bunyan (@growing.arc ) Megha Chauhan, and Pramila Choudhary.

Thank you to our workshop facilitators, exhibiting artists, collaborators, and everyone who joined us. Your generosity, insights, and creative practices made this gathering truly special.
Craft reminds us that materials carry memory, making builds relationships, and commons are created through care.
Grateful to everyone who helped make this event possible. 💛 taken in 4TH SPACE Concordia University by @pramilach
