Even though this song was written by Trent Reznor of NIN, I think most people associate it with the epic Johnny Cash recording. My acoustic guitar arrangement blends the sparse feel of the Cash version with some bluesy improv elements. You can check out the entire performance on my YouTube channel. If you want to learn how to play this style of solo, unaccompanied fingerpicking on guitar, you should definitely check out my guitar lesson platform at: https://JustinJohnsonGuitar.com. I teach my entire approach to guitar, starting from total beginner lessons, all the way through advanced fingerpicking, lead guitar, arranging, theory, and more. I also have interactive Q&A livestreams, a huge library of tab-sync videos, and a community forum where you can ask questions and get direct feedback from me, so you never get stuck on your guitar journey. Hope to see you there! 🎸 https://JustinJohnsonGuitar.com 🎶: @justinjohnsonlive 🎥: @nikki.johnson.creative 🎸: @pratleyguitars #acousticguitar #guitarist #fingerstyle #johnnycash #guitarplayer by @pratleyguitars
Let’s enter into spooky season on the right foot! 💀 This is my original dark blues tune, “Deep Down ‘neath the Soil.” I love the folky and sinister combo of the acoustic guitar and the baritone lapsteel. If you want to learn this style on chord/melody finger picking, dark blues slide guitar, or lap steel… then check out my guitar lesson platform at JustinJohnsonGuitar.com. I teach my style of guitar playing from the first notes on guitar, all the way through advanced fingerpicking, slide guitar, improv, and arranging. I also answer member questions, host lesson livestreams, and more. Melody Moko is one of my first inspirations in songwriting. I was just a baby at the @thesongmuster in 2021 when I first heard her play ‘Like Hank Would’. That’s when I truly fell in love with country music and all its sub-genres and what really inspired me to start writing my own songs. I was full of anxiety and self-doubt (still am but can hide it better lol) and @melodymoko really held my hand through that, encouraged me and made me feel like I belonged in a room that i was definitely new to. Not only one of the most skilled songwriters I’ve ever met but also one of the kindest, Mama Aus Country 💕 Thanks for supporting the underdog mate - I appreciate you and your brilliant music @pratleyguitars #auscountrymusic #livemusic #singersongwriter #melodymoko #musician by @pratleyguitars
They named 9/25 “Dolly Parton Day” in honor and remembrance of the Queen of Country, all of the magic and kindness she created and shared during her life, and the legacy she left behind.. on the first Dolly Day here in Nashville, every venue turned their stage lights and exterior lighting to pink, the crosswalks were all painted pink, and Dolly’s “9 to 5” was played at every venue in town at 5pm. Needless to say I felt compelled to come up with my own arrangement for solo guitar, to honor the legend. I hope you enjoy it 🦋💖🪩🎤🕊️ 🎶: @justinjohnsonlive 🎥: @nikki.johnson.creative 🎸: @pratleyguitars 🎙️: @akgaudio #dollyparton #9to5 #acousticguitar #coversong #nashville by @pratleyguitars
