Some places are best told through their objects.

For this issue, we illustrated Goa not through its landmarks but through what it holds close, oyster shell windows, the round softness of poee bread, a mix of graphic form and collage that lets the city surface through texture rather than description.

A story on music festivals across India asked the illustrations to hold sound without sound. Crowd imagery, flashing light and motion blur, all set in bright blues and reds against deep black. Colour and blur doing the work of a stage, of a crowd, of the pull that makes people travel toward a gathering.

For ‘The Patient Vertical’, a feature on India’s climbing landscapes, the brief was verticality itself. Muted greys and beige echo the starkness of the terrain, cutout mountains move across the spreads, and the eye is kept in a state of constant, deliberate ascent, tracing the same discipline that climbing asks of the climbers profiled within.

Svasa Life’s design has always made room for stories to lead. For the latest issue, The Search, Praxis continued holding the magazine’s editorial design, and that same system opened up beautifully for a travel issue, letting colour, texture and place come through vividly across its sections while still holding the clarity the magazine is known for.

The final details! Printed schedules, both handheld and scaled as standees, and presentation slides — all were ‘framed’ for our visual system for CultureCon 2025!

Our ever expanding frame system for CultureCon found itself on all kinds of merchandise, even minimised into tiny Tetris-like bricks for smaller applications.

The project continues to prove that systems > individual designs; the whole greater than the sum of its parts!

From frames, to strips. Every collateral speakers and audiences encountered at Culture Con was an expression of the frame system expanding and contracting.

Whatever the use case or scale, the vibrant colour palette and bold typography ensured no detail was ever missed!

Crucial to Culture Con’s system was its application across multiple formats on social media.
