“Even When I’m Gone I Still Carry You With Me” home video in tandem with both of my theses—clips are from interviews for my anthropologic thesis, videos from the shelter I lived as a child, videos from adolescence and videos from my years at Bard … all times where I felt at “home.”

Every time I watch this video I cry and I am grateful to carry all the homes I’ve had, have, and will have in the future .. so much love forever to those who make me feel that way 🫶 by @preshdraws

“Birthday Self Portrait”

today is my birthday and im twenty now and I don’t really feel different… a lot of people have asked me if im excited to officially be an adult or if im wiser .. etc.. and I don’t know,, I think I go through life not really knowing much and learning more as I go. my art is the same way—but we’re all learning and I think that’s comforting. i drew this during one of the first hours of being 20 and i hope to fill this year with more drawings.

i look back to my progress as an artist and I feel happy .. things aren’t linear but that’s ok. Happy 2 be on this journey regardless 😢❤️
