HEY GSA!! 💙💛

When I attended GSA as a student I honestly struggled a lot to make connections and break out of my shell. I felt completely invisible as a student, and when I applied to be an RA I was worried in the back of my mind it would be the same situation but I am so happy to reveal that it was the complete opposite experience.

The amount of people that have made an impact on me here is incredible. Being on GSA staff has been the most healing and rewarding experience ever! Art is so powerful and being at GSA is so inspiring. Not to mention the staff community! There is no one else I would rather spend every second of every day for 3 weeks with whether it be late night food runs or just our daily meeting. I love you all!

My RA group is an amazing group of kids. I am so proud of each and every one of them and I am so lucky to have had them as my first group!! Now GSA is over but never forget that YOU are GSA and the memories and impact you made on others will never disappear.

Spring semester…what a doozy!

Honestly now that things are all wrapped up I can solidly say this was the worst school year of my life. The downs never seemed to stop coming. Just when I thought nothing could get worst oh boy did it. I lost myself entirely. The girl who was so sure of herself and who she was disappeared…that being said I have learned so much this year.

I have rediscovered WHY I do theatre. I’ve always loved it and it was the biggest thing that kept me going but why? Theatre is the place where I am free to be whoever and whatever I want and more importantly myself. By losing myself, I found myself again. It’s so weird how that works. Towards the end of the semester I began to realize that the people that truly care about me have stood by my side through it all. My friendships have grown so much with old and new friends. They never made me feel alone no matter how many times I told myself I was. I am so grateful to them.

I love the new me and the old me and the me in between. I’m still learning who the new me is, but I am enjoying the ride! Besides, discovering yourself is what college is all about.

Everything happens for a reason. What’s meant to be, will be!

We’re Okay, We’re Okay, We’re All Going to Be Okay
May 2026

I am back in Kentucky, but my mind is still in New York. I don’t think I will ever get over the fact that I just performed on New York for the first time. A dream that I have had since I first dipped my toes into the world of theatre as a young girl has finally come true.

I have been with this play since the first workshop with Farm Theater in August where I had the opportunity to read the first draft of this show. I fell in love with the character of Chris Brennan instantly and knew that I needed to be in this show. That I needed to be Chris. I am forever grateful to @doradoplays for giving me the chance to be Chris! So many challenges were thrown at our cast, but we came out the other end and we came out stronger than ever. I formed such close friendships with everyone in this cast and especially my Lana (@ale_torre03 ) who I now consider one of my closest friends. I am so so beyond glad that I was able to do this reading with her by my side. I would not want it any other way. The news that I would be doing the reading in May came at one of the lowest points in my life and reminded me why I love theatre. This play is about theatre bringing people together and it has certainly brought me closer to the right people in my life and to my greatest passion. It’s weird and messy and it’s the shape of grief and I am forever grateful to have been by it every step of the way.

I am so excited for this play to be published so that more people can experience what I did with this show.

Thank you so much to @harrythehoudini for writing this play and @thefarmtheater for commissioning it. Also a big shout out to @sarathechamp13 for stepping in last minute to direct. You are an amazing director and I know what you do was not easy. Lastly thank you to @ceca_apsu for funding this trip! Could not have done it without your support.

So many fun adventures this semester! Looking back at the semester I feel so incredibly lucky for all of the amazing opportunities I received. It was the busiest semester yet with my new job and being in both MainStage shows while still taking 17 credit hours but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I love being busy but am so excited to have some time to myself next semester! I love being at Austin Peay and learning with all of my friends, class mates, and professors! I feel like this is where I truly belong. Here’s to next semester! ❤️🖤 by @presleyboyne
