Little overdue… but!

Showbiz! 🎩 | 2026 🕺

My senior capstone was everything I could’ve asked for. Thank you to the cast, crew, committee, and everyone @apsutheatreanddance for giving me the space to explore this insane idea and for all the support along the way.

The idea for Showbiz came to me back in sophomore year: two friends in NYC trying to bring back Vaudeville in a modern world. The show transformed a lot over the years, but friendship, love, reconciliation, and ambition were always at its core. It’s one of the projects I’m most proud of, having worked on every part of it, from directing, writing, and choreographing to sound design and lighting alongside the wonderful @dc_souls. While challenging and rewarding, I feel lucky to have been surrounded by such wonderful people throughout it.

My cast made this show what it was. You all knocked it out of the park. Emily, thank you for being my rock as my magnificent assistant choreographer, turning every note into something even better than I imagined. Kristopher, Presley, Ross, and Loralei, you took my craziest ideas and made them real. I’ll always cherish the love you poured into this silly little show.

Thank you to my crew, Danny and Caleb, for pouring everything into those final weeks and making the lighting and sound come alive. And a special thanks to @amyfrederick3362 for jumping in on piano for my solo songs and making Jameson’s emotional arc even stronger.

Utmost gratitude to my committee, Zakk, Victoria, Darren, and Joe, for giving me the space to create this magical show and guiding me toward the most authentic version of it.

I’m completely overwhelmed by everyone who came out to see this show, told a friend, or cheered from the audience. This felt like so much more than a capstone.

None of this would’ve been possible without my family and friends who showed up and believed in this weird little show from the start. And above all, thank you to God, for the vision, the strength, the talent, and the people he placed around me to bring it to life.

With love,
Nick ❤️

Hey GSA!!!

The last three weeks have been nothing short of fantastic. I have been blessed with the chance to return to the program that was so formative for me. I am so proud of all the students I got to see grow into confident young artists who will go on to make Kentucky proud!

Go forth and make great art!! ❤️(❤️)
