The artist behind the frame. 🥀

Hello everybody! I thought I'd introduce myself again. My name is Caitlin Torrez, and I'm the woman behind everything Pressed Flower Shop. I created this company in 2012, and I branched into bridal bouquets in 2018. I started pressing flowers from a young age. We had the most beautiful flowers in our backyard growing up, and I wanted a way to hold onto that fleeting beauty. My parents played such a huge role in my starting this business, from helping me press my first flowers when I was little to buying me my first resin kit in 2012!

I'm now a wife and mom myself, with a supportive and loving husband, and 4 little kids - 3 boys and a little girl. My family is everything to me, and growing this business has really helped me to support us and stay home at the same time. So if you have ever supported me in any way - THANK YOU!

I also have the start of a little homestead, with 4 goats and countless chickens. It's been a dream of mine for years now - but boy is it busy!

I love the sentiment behind each frame I create. I love hearing the story of each couple when I preserve their flowers. And I love working with such beautiful blooms!

Camille's Flowers 🌸

Camille booked me to preserve her flowers, but after her wedding day, the bouquet went missing. She didn't miss a beat, though, and brought me all the extras. And I was still able to make her a truly beautiful piece with these blooms. One of my all-time favorites, in fact! Thank you again, Camille!

🩷 The Wedding at the Farm 🧡

My cousin Maisie had the most beautiful vision: a wedding at the place where she grew up. A magical slice of Minnesota full of gardens and animals and featuring a big blue barn. Her parent's picturesque white farmhouse was the backdrop for their vows. It truly was such a dream!

I remember going to their farm as a kid and loving every second of it. Snowmobiling in the winter, petting whatever new farm animal was there, and sitting in front of the warm fireplace.

I was so honored to preserve Maisie and Hotsy's flowers! You'll see their frame featured in this post.

It's been a while since I posted, and it has been a busy start to fall. I keep thinking I'll catch up with different parts of my life when things slow down. But the realization is hitting that life doesn't slow down. So I'm embracing being here imperfectly and when I can. And I'll share the beauty and sweet moments as much as possible. 🤍

Sweet peas 💐 Hannah had a delicate bouquet full of stock and sweet pea flowers. Pressing and framing them in this 6x6 gold frame was the perfect match!

Emily's wedding flowers were full of life and color. I loved working with the warm dahlias and soft cosmos and roses. Bouquets that are full of flowers and minimal greenery are always a fun challenge!

Emily shares the same wedding anniversary as me! I love finding things in common with my clients. Plus she was such a treat to work with!

When Monica came to me with the idea of an oval frame for her cascading bouquet, I was so excited and a little intimidated. It's the very first flower preservation I've done in this type of frame. And I'm in looovvee.

My two besties visited me from far away (and warmer weather) this month. We had plans to make a lot of fun content, to go on many adventures, and to treasure our time together. We focused on that last part and forgot about the rest. 🥰😂

Looking back on these photos was so bittersweet. Because what do you mean you are already gone and home again?
