Today was my son's first day back at school which means back to our normal full time studio schedule (& structure, hallelujah)! Trust me, I was still working hard all along (albeit on a wonky schedule) but swipe right to see some of my favorite moments from this summer! I think more times than not, we totally forget small businesses are ran by real humans with families and whole freaking lives outside of work. Caitlin Lives Like Gina 💚 She is kind, helpful, and loving. She leans on faith even when she encounters storms. If Gina had the opportunity to be a mom, I know she would mother just like Caitlin does to her 4 children. After Gina passed away, I knew we needed to do something with all of the flowers from her funeral. We got referred to Caitlin’s flower pressing business @pressedflowershop 🌸 We trusted her to carefully press and craft artwork using Gina’s memorial flowers. Caitlin did a phenomenal job! We cherish them very deeply. Since receiving our order, Caitlin has generously made us more pieces using the florals from Gina’s funeral- just because. I (Dinah) have had the opportunity to grow close to Caitlin and her family over this past year 🫶🏼 Babysitting her babies and developing a friendship with Caitlin. It’s been such a joy! Caitlin’s family have had some recent struggles come their way and I’ve had a front row seat to it all. I could feel the Lord speaking to me to use Gina’s foundation to help. Caitlin and her family deserve it. It was so encouraging to see how they stayed strong in faith even with things not going their way. It truly reminded me of sweet Gina 🩵 The Live Like Gina Foundation strives to financially support individuals and organizations that embody the Gina way of life. Caitlin is the perfect fit for a donation. We had the opportunity to gift her family $1,000. Thank YOU for giving to the LLG Foundation so we can make impacts like this! I have loved and respected these girls individually for years, and I am so thankful that we grew even closer together over this past year. At a time when I think we all really needed it the most. An absolute God thing bringing us together. This year hasn’t been an easy one for me, and I find it difficult to fully be vulnerable, but having friends love you fiercely and lift you up when you are down is the most special thing. Leslie and Caitlin didn’t hesitate for a second to book the flights and show up for me. They worked beside me, helped me pack up orders, organized my office, loved my children, lifted my spirits, stood beside me through panic attacks, and of course brought all the laughter and joy. A weekend that I will forever cherish, and I can’t ever thank them enough. We weren’t made to do this life alone. I’m blessed to know and love you both.

In the chaos of life it’s easy to focus on the stress, but I have so much to be thankful for when it comes to this portion of my life. That this blessing came to fruition in a time of having postpartum depression. It gave me the ability to continue being a stay at home longer. For continuing to provide for my family for the past 6.5 years. For the people I’ve met that I otherwise never would have. The friendships I’ve made, the community that has been built, and for the beautiful people that have taken a chance on me. All glory to God for this life I have been gifted, and thank you all for being a part of it. - Darien 🧡

The Live Like Gina Foundation strives to honor the beautiful and faithful life that Gina Lillian Schaffer lived. By doing this, we hope to encourage others to live like her: be kind, helpful, and loving. Make this world a better place by making yourself a better person and prepare yourself for eternity in Heaven. Gina was the most faithful, caring, and silly person. She was an influential leader in many meaningful life ministries. She wanted everyone to be loved, respected, and to follow Jesus. One of Gina’s greatest joys was leading worship with her twin, Dinah at church on Sunday mornings. If you knew Gina, you knew a master chef who adored cooking for her family and friends. Dinah and Gina’s dream was to own cafes and employ individuals with and without special needs. The family’s saying was, “Everyone needs a Gina.” Gina passed away in a dirt bike accident on August 1st, 2024 - her and Dinah’s 18 1/2 birthday. As Gina’s family, it’s our hope to shift the focus on her death to her influential life. We pray that you learn how Gina lived, in hopes that you take up her ways. Through outreach and fellowship, the LLG Foundation hopes to financially support individuals and organizations that embody the Gina way of life. 🌷🌷🌷 We received a crazy amount of flowers for Gina’s services. We were so grateful to be surrounded in so much beauty shortly following her passing. And we were beyond blessed by Caitlin and her skills. She was able to press and preserve a ton of florals and arrange them into stunning pieces for us to keep forever.
