imagine this one day you’re putting your child to bed after reading them a bedtime story, you kiss their head good night and tuck them in then the next day you start to hear an odd commotions outside your home and you realize that your neighbors home is under attack and being bombed, you then quickly grab your child and flee for safety leaving behind your personal possessions, leaving behind important documents, leaving behind basic necessities such as clean water and food, and leaving behind the beautiful memories you’ve created in that home.

this is the story and reality for Tamara Shaban who is a 35 year old woman who fled from the war to Egypt with her mother Najwa and her 2 sons: Zain & Malath. She is caretaking for them all while her husband is still trapped in Gaza.

I’m using my platform to help bring awareness and to help my best friend who in the past 10 months of this genocide has lost over 16 family members just this year and still has over 52 who are trying to survive with each passing day. We’ve mourned the losses but we are still going to fight like hell for the living.

I haven’t really felt the urge to be as active on my socials just with the state of the world and social media as a whole feeling so dystopian but my silence isn’t helping I can’t ignore the atrocities happening day after day innocent lives being taken in GAZA for over 10 months now we have let and are witnessing a genocide happen right in the palm of our hands. We must take action anyway possible to cease fire or more lives will be taken. MEN WITHOUT THEIR 🍆 MAKES IT HARDER TO 🍇 😤🔪

On June 23, 1993, Lorena Bobbitt a 24 year old woman severed her husband John Wayne Bobbitt’s penis with a kitchen knife while he slept in their Manassas, Virginia, home after following years of alleged domestic abuse and marital rape. After the act she then threw his severed penis in a nearby field unfortunately they were able to locate the penis and with enough time able to reattached Mr. Bobbitt’s tiny little pecker back to his worthless body. For Lorena the court found her not guilty by reason of temporary insanity which is a bunch of BS but now she’s an activist for women who suffer violence and abuse from men. Moral of the story if your gonna abuse someone in anyway shape or form expect to lose the one thing you love most, stupid lil dick 😌🖕🏻 by @prince.andru

When I stepped off a bus in Carteret, New Jersey and entered Dru and Omar’s home, I felt I had crossed into a private universe shaped by love and devotion. They met years ago in a sewing class at fashion school in Los Angeles, seated across from one another, and have been together ever since.

Their world is layered with antique and vintage pieces that echo medieval and Renaissance sensibilities, shrines and images honoring the male physique, alongside garments of their own design. Every object feels intentional, part of a language built slowly over time with care and precision.

Dru spoke about the necessity of slowing down, of absorbing life and allowing creation to unfold deliberately. In a world overwhelmed by conflict, he described the act of making fantastical, dreamlike work as both an act of resilience and self-care.

I am grateful to have stepped inside their world, to witness and capture the magic they have cultivated over the years.
