The 2026 Oscarsborg Symposium brought together leaders from business, government, and academia to discuss the role of businesses in defence and preparedness.

The discussions opened with a keynote by Johan H. Andresen, Chair of Ferd and leader of the Resource Alliance, followed by a strategic panel on government preparedness processes across the Nordic region.

Symposium Leader Louise Olsson highlighted the growing momentum behind Nordic cooperation, driven by new initiatives from both governments and businesses.

🇨🇴 Peace on the Dance Floor

This week, PRIO brought together researchers, practitioners, and guests to reflect on a decade since Colombia’s historic 2016 Peace Agreement, exploring its achievements, ongoing challenges, and the road ahead.

The evening continued beyond the panel, as guests were invited to experience a taste of Colombia through traditional food, music, and dance.

PRIO recently hosted a national network gathering for Balanse+ projects!

The Research Council of Norway’s flagship program for promoting gender balance, diversity, and inclusion in research, the Balanse+ projects, plays a key role in driving systemic change across the sector.

Bringing together participants from more than 20 universities, colleges, and research institutes across Norway, the event provided a space to share experiences, build connections, and explore how we can strengthen inclusion, measure progress, and create lasting structural change.

🎉 PRIO's Jonas Vestby has been awarded funding from the European Research Council for BRIDGE, a groundbreaking project at the intersection of AI and peace research.
